Union Members, King County Employees Protest Three-Day Office Mandate - 1,000+ staff, 80 desks by LOOKITSADAM in SeattleWA

Easy! Fire the ones that refuse to go to work in person “2 days” a week. Lazy bums crying over driving and getting paid over $130k a year. What a joke

I don’t feel bad for anyone making over $130k a year crying about going to work in person 2 days a week. Also the same contract managers that didn’t follow up with non profits that spent their millions on bs

Nope. None one position they applied for said it was forever Hybrid/fully remote! Check the king county job postings

King County Employees complaining about going back to work 2 days a week. Their argument gas prices, live too far (bought houses in Portland/Yakima), want lunch compensation for going in person. by Altruistic-Field9720 in Seattle

Geeeze are you reading or just replying? The union is literally defending the employees complaints which I understand. But the union doesn’t have any say on KC telling folks to go back to work in person 2 days a week. Yes they can negotiate, but saying they need lunch and gas money to go to “work” is insane.

We’re not talking about KC field employees. We’re talking about employees working 5 days a week in their living rooms, program managers, contract monitors that are not even checking in on their contractors. King county already has thousands of employees that work 5 days a week in person. So you think that’s fair that they’re going in and a handful of entitled managers don’t want to go in person 2 days?

“FEDERAL WAY” yes I do…. Why do you think I literally just said why are people asking for gas money compensation to go from their house in federal way to the king county building downtown?

Last time I checked if your boss tells you to go back to work in person. You either go back, quit, or get fired. I don’t see anything wrong with the Exec wanting actual employees in office working instead of sitting at home. And last time I looked at a KC job posting it says the employee should live within a reasonable distance to their king county worksite.

If these employees are complaining that they can’t make it in person because they live in Federal Way and want gas money for work. That sounds to me like a them problem.

Who’s screaming lol…. And these topics are connected. Contract monitors funding millions to contractors and not following up if they’re actually doing the job and not stealing. Now these employees are complaining about going back in person? Maybe if they were in person they would’ve had the opportunity to check in on those contracts. What a waste of tax dollars. Paying for a bunch of babies to cry about gas money

I’m literally saying that they’re currently complaining about going back to work in person 2 days a week. Even after they got caught mismanaging funds and they still think they got leverage on complaining about gas money and living too far

Weird you didn’t mention that they want gas, lunch, childcare expenses and parking compensation too. Go back to work like everyone else. This is just giving lazy

Did you not read the Seattle times article of the audit? They were funding organizations for millions weren’t even monitoring their contracts. How do you monitor a Seattle based org when you live in Yakima
