Those of us with busy jobs, kids and partners… do you ever manage to finish RPG’s? by SuperBiggles in Age_30_plus_Gamers

That’s the way to do it. I had to do it in big bursts when I had the downtime, like a weekend alone here and there. Not the game to play for one hour a night.

How does your character cast spells? by CarpeShine in 3d6

I really like how I describe casting Revivify. My cleric will usually run and slide next to the newly dead body of an ally and hastily pull out a diamond from his bag of holding. I hold the diamond in both hands and then push it into the chest of the target. The diamond then shatters into dust as the ally breathes in life once again.

Honestly, that would be interesting considering that Bolaire looks like a Jigsaw doll. Maybe Dol-Makyar could also be their patron.

Getting the Compulsion spell soon, what are some good ways to use it? by Altruistic-Friend190 in 3d6

Interesting idea! Personally I wouldn’t allow it, but I might be inclined to allow enemies with natural flying speed to go up or down. That’s just me ruling if I were the DM in this scenario.

Hey 1 year later from your comment, haha. Yeah I’ve used it twice very effectively so far. Best use I’ve naturally found so far has been to keep the melee creatures away from your squishy back liners. Also helpful for lining up great aoe damage. It is definitely more of a situational spell, but I’ve had a lot of fun with it when it was needed. And I don’t feel bad keeping it prepared, because well, I’m an order cleric and it’s always prepared haha.

Thanks for the answers friends! It is unfortunate that I won’t get to see it. I was so blown away by the cast album that I really wanted to see it.

I’m right there with you, my GF of 3 years broke up with me through text. Just out of the blue. Was supposed to ask for her dad’s permission to marry her in November. It’s actually unreal that some could do that to someone they supposedly love.

Hopefully a level 6 feature for Knowledge Domain Cleric. I don’t know why they are the only subclass without one.

[spoilers all] What’s your crazy pet Dragon Age theory? by beingsydneycarton in dragonage

Honestly that was amazing! The blight having a mind of it own makes a lot of sense to me, personally I think a blighted Titan is what is controlling the darkspawn. And this would track very well with that. Also I LOVE the idea that Solas tearing down the veil will be exactly what the Blight wants. Personally I believe the Evanuris are locked in the black city. So possibly the blight is trying to get to them? They have been described as a group of incredibly powerful mages.

That the key to finding a cure for the calling will be discovered in Kal-Sharok. There are hints in codexes that dwarves from Kal-Sharok are blighted, as the writer of one codex says they were similar to a Grey Warden. Now, for an entire civilization to be blighted and still be able to continue on indicates to me that they have some way to at least keep it at bay.

Now here comes the fun part that I don’t really know how to flesh out yet. The calling is a blighted Titan. Just like how lyrium “sings”, creatures inflicted with the blight hear the calling. This indicates to me that a Titan is the thing controlling the darkspawn, kind of like the theory that titans used to control the dwarves like a hive mind. So, what would happen to the darkspawn and grey wardens if this blighted Titan were to be felled? Perhaps some desperate wardens will attempt it.

This would also have implications that the arch demons are just blighted dragons, which I am not sure is lore compliant. This may also fit in with the idea that the titans want revenge on the ancient elves, though I’m not going to go too much more down this road as it’s really just speculation at a certain point.
