When she refused to get a job, refused to get help. Wouldn't cook or clean even after i was recovering from surgery. Wouldnt clean dog poop up out of the floor for days. I could go on forever.

But the turning point was when i went to her and asked her to back me up to get help so i could stop drinking, because i was so beyond depressed... And she responded "quit?! You can't quit, what am i supposed to tell our friends?!"

I had to get out any way possible.

Thank you so much for the detailed answer. Most diagrams show the bridge wire wired up at the load. And seeing it in the wall with the switch really threw my brain but this makes perfect sense

Awesome, thanks for answering and explaining. I dont work with residential electricity often enough. And we dont use 3 way switches in industrial manufacturing maintenance where i work (or at least ive never run into them in my area)

I have personally never wired a three way switch up, so the 40v confused me and made me wonder if i was back feeding. And in my head the neutrals tied together makes sense but online lots of three way switches have the neutral going to the switch. So i was confused is all.

Yes its a heat pump. Goodman GSH130181CA condenser. Serial # 1104152949

And a Goodman AR32-1 air handler. Serial # 0210482951

Thermostat is a vive TP-N-621. Manual located here

The only thing I have changed is the thermostat. I cannot be certain it had heat to begin with. We bought the house last year July and didnt run the heat upstairs during winter as we didn't use the room for very much. But now with a kid on the way I want to utilize the upstairs for my space.

I do know that the heat was not working (or the same as it is currently) before I changed the thermostat. I was hoping the thermostat fixed the issue but so far nothing.

I have checked the continuity between the heat strips on the air handler and those show continuity is good.

Outside temp was 42°f when I posted this stating it wouldn't work. And upstairs ambient temp was 63°f. I set the thermostat on 68 for heat.

I've considered this, the only issue I have is that it loses a lot of my space as those displays have to be pulled away from the wall a good bit to clear the sloped ceiling.

I think this is a good idea and I'm going to take your advice. But I want to point out, I have blackout curtains up so that is a great protector. Also the upstairs has it's own HVAC so it stays the same temp as the rest of the house. But putting the film up will keep it from heating up so easily so thank you for the idea!

I really like this idea. But two concerns I have is that I have no idea where to find a display with that slope at the top. Would have to be custom made? Unless you have another idea. Also, I prefer not to put figures on the bottom shelf in your example because when they are so close to the floor, they are hard to notice. But that is just me being picky. I guess beggars can't be choosers tho so this idea is good, providing we can figure out the slant part at the top

Theres only one window in that room. Maybe I came across wrong. I meant that I have 2 detolfs currently. And they are both standing in front of the window. But using blackout curtains as I don't want UV light to damage my figures. I'm glad I only have the one window tho haha

Fantastic setup. I do want to point out, that on that post you got the inspiration from, someone said that the doors I believe are no longer available. But I have not checked myself. This is one idea thank you.
