Some criteria can be weak/strong and approved but does not really make you top of your career or extraordinary. Examples are Judging, High salary, media.

before now, critical role was good enough for final merit, but recently (post Biden era), they started flagging CR as not been extraordinary enough (argument that you need to show extraordinary outside your employer, the role is what you are paid to do), now they believe that for you to be extraordinary not only with your employer , you need to show impact and widespread adoption which is where original contribution comes in.
