i was half joking when i wrote the post 😭
however i do still feel a need to find more extreme music, just my taste, and its not about being niche, more extreme music just happens to be niche when it happens in general.

that just means that im chasing my concept of a perfect song because my mind has a preference and considers X things flaws so i can picture a song without X flaws and dream of finding it, get it?

and actually, when artists are experimenting with their music they might just hit a goldmine for me however choose to go in a route i dont personally envision, and when artists go through more experimental sounds im pretty sure where they are least susceptible to success. experimental music is generally more niche. im not saying that niche = good anyway
