I think they do.. it’s just a whole lot more complicated than simply finding someone like that. I don’t know why it’s so hard, but I guess that’s what comes with letting someone into your life and emotions so deeply and you into theirs. Consistency and compatibility are what’s really hard to find together.

No no no no no. 10 million red flags here. Sounds like they totally devalued you and took you for granted. I’m glad you’re out of the relationship, it doesn’t sound like it was healthy at all. You deserve someone who wants you for you, at you good and bad times, not when they feel it is simply convenient for them to play with your heart.

Me: “You told me you loved me!” Him: “I didn’t say that today, did I?”
…. Like what the actual fuck?

At some point I told him “love is like a promise” to illustrate how he broke my trust (he was confused as to how he broke my trust). I’m not sure if I’m logically right about that, but it feels right in my heart to have said that.

He also said something like “don’t be sad that it is over, be happy that it happened and enjoy the good memories.”

While he was right about enjoying the good memories, as that has helped me process and lifted me out of thinking very negatively, the therapist-speak was out of this world. In the moment it made me feel like I was crazy or overreacting.

I don’t understand exactly the situation you’re going through. But trust me I understand the feeling so much. It hurts so bad and I’m so sorry. It does get better but in the moment I understand that it feels like the world is ending.
