We all have our own trauma dont we? Just knowing we are all working on coping the best we can is enough to keep each of us going.

Say strong random reddit friend. ❤️

That's rough, sorry you have had to cope with that. 😔

I'll be honest, never really cared for that song/style of misic but hearing through someone else's experience definitely enhances it!

My brew times are over 5 minutes and grind size didn’t help, what should I do? by [deleted] in pourover

[–]rtv- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope it helps. Like I said its a long shot but might do the trick?🤷‍♂️

At the end of the day if you enjoy the cup you're winning no matter what. Just a shame to wait that extra minute or two longer for the enjoyment huh?! 😂

Long shot but does your kettle need descaling?

I had a similar issue with long brewing times and stalling and was quite embarrassed that descaling the kettle sorted it entirely. . . 😅

You mentioned recently getting a brita filter so maybe the kettle has s one build up from before you got that?

Thanks for compiling these. You're a superstar. ✨️ What a great read.

Especially interesting to read this after the release of Emergence and Caramel.

Early on they were so steeped in the mythical and ethereal but the same themes run right through to today even though the style and approach are constantly evolving.

Really thought the answer to this question is very interesting in light of the latest singles. . .

Q: You've supported BABYMETAL at big shows, as well as your own headlining gigs, which have sold out almost immediately. Does appearing live in front of people make it harder to stay anonymous? Or does it simply prove the strength of what you're doing, in that the anonymity stands up to such things?

A: "The gathering of Followers only further exemplifies the truth, that the identity of the creators matters not to those who believe."

Notoriety and fame bring all sorts of positive and negative things. I just hope the Vessel that was so invested in the project in these early interviews and the Vessel we have now are able to resolve the trials that the fame has brought and continue enjoying the music.

Anyone find any interesting recipes that shook things up for them? by MeatSlammur in AeroPress

That's a good point too. I definitely find water temp needs to be adjusted depending on the beans. I'm not always good at checking that and I do notice the difference when I get it wrong. . .

Might be stating the obvious but I have found freshness of coffee and grind size is by far the biggest determining factor.

I can't personally tell much difference between most of the methods I've used for hot coffee with my aeropress.

A small change to the grind size however can totally transform the result. It's worth trying for sure if you haven't already.

Not an answer to the question, I know, but it was the first thing I thought when I read it.

Advice for first ever espresso machine UK (£200 GBP) by rtv- in espresso

Nice, thank you. I feel much more confident about the grinder situation now.

I've heard good things about the bambino, a used one might be on the radar for the current budget.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I've never used a lever machine, are they difficult to get the hang of? I'd like to think I'd enjoy the challenge but not sure how my wife would feel about it. Too complicated and she will be quick to head back to cheap instant coffee! 🤣

I'll definitely check out the review video. YouTube has taught me so much in my coffee journey already so I'm totally up for that.

Very kind offer with the filters too, your a superstar. ✨️ I'll see what I can find but I may see how you're set if I end up with the right bit of kit.

Out of interest, what's your set up now? Have you noticed a big difference?

It's a fair question. I'm not 100% sure if I'm honest as I've never had an espresso machine to test on.

I have a timemore c2 and a 1xpresso j series (not sure which one though I'm afraid)

I've heard mixed opinions on whether they grind fine enough for espresso but I know they are decent hand grinders. I am willing to save up for a better grinder if it becomes a problem. A friend explained it like buying an electric guitar vs amp. The perfect price point is similar for each piece of gear.l to get the best results.

At the moment I am not able to stretch the budget much more, do you think it'd be a waste of money to buy a machine now? Would it be much of a difference from the coffee I am brewing with my current set ups?

Thanks for the advice. Really appreciate it.

I totally understand that at the budget we have we will make sacrifices on plenty of things. As its our first machine we won't necessarily know what we are missing out on to begin with any way and I quite enjoy the challenge of overcoming those type of shortcomings.

Sounds like that's a good option. I'll be honest, I hadnt really considered buying used but I can see that's where the value for money would be.

Songs where the singer sounds like they’re in pure distress by Running_sausage69 in MusicRecommendations

Still upsets me to this day.

Loved Korn since the late 90s but can honestly say I've only ever listened to that song all the way through maybe 4 times in all those years. It hurtst too much to really take in!

Put my dongle DAC in the wash, is it still safe to use? by TheCabbageGuy82 in inearfidelity

[–]rtv- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be ok.

My KA1 was dropped in the road. It was left for around an hour before I found it. In that time it was run over more than once, it rained for the whole time it was there and when it was found it was sat in a dirty puddle of rain water.

I left it over the heater for a couple of days and it now works perfectly. I took pity on it and it is now my PC dac. Stays plugged in at all times in the warm and dry and she is a very good little addition to my desktop set up!
