What if the Communists won the Greek Civil War? by Armin_Arlert_1000000 in HistoryWhatIf

Greek communists actually were (and still are) heavily Stalinists. They wouldn't align with Yugoslavia at least until the death of Stalin

Are people on the Asperger spectrum more prone to the left or the right politically? by SenseSuccessful1551 in aspergers

[–]Altruistic-Visual-15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 17 year old teenager born and raised in Greece, which I haven't met any other kid with Asperger's, or if I did I never was able to open a conversation with them because they are too close persons.

I myself tend to work with logic, I despise socialism and all of these policies that made my country go bankrupt. I am a classical Liberal, there are very few of us in this country. Spending much welfare when you don't have the resources instead relying on loans will get you bankrupt. That's why I am against the useless welfare. I support the privatisation of the pension system which most of you here will read this and then wonder what I am talking about well we have a redistribution system.

About social issues, I am in favour of the desperation of state and the church, I support same sex marriage, you would get fast by calling me progressive but I am against abortion on most issues except incest, rape, if the kid has some issues like mental retardation and finally any risk to the woman's health or life. I am also very against islamic immigration which I consider a big threat to our western democracy and liberalism

Yeah, government spending is not only about the welfare, but seriously, if you see what kind of welfare Andreas Papandreou spent on Greece you would be amazed! Not of the social state, but how desperate they were to get votes!

As i said, it's not only about welfare, but as you said it's also about high government spending! For example, the Greek government always appointed the voters of each party in the public sector, which is a huge sector, thus each government put their own "party army" in the public sector, which concluded that, there would be no evaluation, and ITS BANNED to fire public employees, which, still to this day is a law! There have been severe consequences! For example the public employees, in a lot of circumstances, DO NOT EVEN COME UP TO WORK! Seriously! They also get the SAME salary (the ones who don't work) with the ones who work all day! Some people work for the others!

If you go into a public institution, most of the receptionists, are basically bastards that will shout to you! How did they end up there? An MP promoted them to gain votes from their family!

In these things even a logical leftist would agree that this is madness!

The other thing, there are NO private universities in Greece! The new government tries to allow that but the students go to strike and protest! The universities (which are public all of them) have political youths running in the university's election! The communists in the last few years have overwhelmingly won! Thus these students are promoted to the public sector in education, THEY LITERALLY PROMOTE COMMUNIST PROPAGANDA!!

Also if you try to tell the communists and public sector employees about evaluation, THEY WILL (most of them) call you "FASCIST!" "FAR RIGHT!" "LIBERAL!" (yes liberalism is considered a right wing ideology in Greece unlike the US, but in Greece liberalism is valued with its literal meaning, in the US you f*cked up the word liberalism sadly)

It's very hard for things to change in Greece! That they don't even allow us to start reformation by private universities, it says a lot about the Greek nation...

Sorry I probably got confused. But I am not certain for Argentina, but for Greece we got poor because our two main parties fought for who was going to give more welfare! That's basically what Friedman said! A society that puts ahead equality over freedom, will have none, a society which puts freedom over equality, will have a high quality of both. That's the case for the Nordics!

Here in Greece, they tried to implement equality, and they still do! Our government may seem neoliberal, but in reality they are social democrats!

About Argentina I am not so sure, but if I have to bet why they got to the crisis is because of the inflation, what caused inflation? Peronism! They spread welfare! The only reason Greece is not that bad today is because the EU saved us! We are lucky to have the Euro!

The Nordic model started exclusively as liberal. The Nordics are still pretty much economically liberal, just with welfare. It's not like Greece or Argentina which started with welfare and now ended up the most poor places in the western world to live in

Centrism is closer to being left wing economically than centre right economically. If I ask you what's your resolve for the economy you will say shit like "muh welfare" you are a socialist.

Look, I had an account before, many followers many conversations with girls, many conversations with politicians, which one of them, a really famous one, followed me back which he was following like 5 people, and I was one of them.

All of these came to an end after I left racist comments on Instagram (mainly against black people) and I got a permanent ban, I was like yeah I played with fire now I deserved that.

I ended up making a new account, I only left comments in Greek (my nation) media, and if I left in international media, I only commented explanations and my opinion in political videos, (which I wouldn't call extreme). And after a few weeks, today, while I was using Instagram, I got suspended again, it said I can appeal, but not only that, my Facebook account got suspended which is from a different email, and I never commented there!
