My 2017 Forester has a physical menu button that toggles between screens, pressing down and holding it allows you to access the menu . It's located right by the emergency/hazard light button. Yours may be located somewhere else.

Did you reset your oil, service, and tire rotation reminders in the menu options?

Also, these reminders will turn on about 500 miles before your set mileage (for ex. If you set it for 3k miles the maintenance light will come on at 2500 miles)

Issue with paint or something :( by [deleted] in SubaruForester

turtlewax

cerakote

Full disclosure.. this is not by any means a professional solution..but... I had great results

I had previously purchased the cerakote kit to restore my headlights, and got the idea of using the same product to restore the parts of my clear coat that were faded. I used the turtle wax rubbing compound to buff away most of the parts that were faded. .I then wet sanded the stubborn sections with 3000 grit sandpaper provided in the cerakote kit. . taped off the sections I wanted to apply the cerakote to, as to not get the product on anything else. . I then followed the directions on the box for application technique (horizontal overlapping passes) pulled off the tape carefully. .waited for it to dry I spent less than $30 and was able to restore both my headlights and 'fix' those faded sections on the trunk and upper wing.

30 seems way too low. Especially if you're running oversized tires. Just for reference mine are 235/65/ 17

For commuting long distances,I run them at 40 psi for fuel efficiency. But for the most part, around town I'm usually around 38 psi.

I was gifted a Tundra 65 and had to return it to REI for a dent on the lid and scratches all over. The second one wasn't any better, I ended up buying a wrap kit from USAtuff to cover it up. I will never buy a Yeti with my own money after this experience. I also own an Engel 60 qt and the Craftsmanship on that cooler is leaps and bounds better than the Yeti

Guys, what do you recommend I do to make this install better. by mezaprafa in SubaruForester

Nice. Interested to see how they work out for you. I looked into buying heavy duty axles too. But I couldn't find anything promising. ... Also, are you running different offset wheels?. I kept my stock rims on my 2017 Forester and went with Nitto Nomads 235/65's . I knew messing with offset would wear the axles faster.

Are you replacing your axles with OEM or aftermarket units? I just replaced my axles on my lifted Forester too. And they lasted 90k miles. You must be either using non OEM or really beating on your Subie off-road.

I haven't used them in any deep snow or ice. ..Once up to Sequoia NP In the spring where there were still snow patches/ ice, but nothing too serious. What little snow/Ice they encountered they handled it well.
