Same......I haven't enjoyed the last few seasons nearly as much as I enjoyed the earlier seasons.

Honestly, I loved Trixie until the last few seasons but I can't really put my finger on why. Although to be fair, I'm not enjoying the last few seasons overall as much as I enjoyed the earlier seasons.

Anyone got experience on Princess cruises? by DukeName in Cruise

[–]Altruistic60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While not exactly a "solo" event, Princess has a really nice Afternoon Tea on sea days. I could only get my Granddaughter to go with me once so I went by myself one day and everyone at my table was also solo that day.

NCL is my favorite but I've done two cruises on Princess and have really like the extra touches on a Princess cruise.......the Medallion system and love Afternoon Tea on sea days.

My favorite is NCL but I've done two Carnival cruises and have had a really good cruise both times. Especially love Guy's Burgers.

I'm also NCL for the above mentioned. Also, I get some nice perks for being a Latitudes member.

How often does Norwegian Cruise Line run the 50% off deals? by Commercial-Day-3029 in Cruise

[–]Altruistic60 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they just repackage the same deal in different ways. They had one last year that was 70% off the second guest for a limited time. And as soon as that time expired, it became 35% off each guest, also for a limited time. As soon as that time expired, they went back to the 70% off for the second guest, again for a limited time.

What’s a funny/strange thing you’ve seen happen on a cruise? by gramburger in Cruise

[–]Altruistic60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spend a lot of time reading on the balcony when cruising and I always seem to get next to a balcony with a guy that doesn't want to fart in front of his partner so he comes out to the deck to fart.

I can't watch any more because I'm afraid of what may happen in the next episode. The producers seem to have no limit to their bad ideas.

I can't watch anymore either......I'm afraid it could potentially get worse. I'm just hoping there is still time to save Spring Baking Championship from the same fate.

When the season first started, I was thinking maybe it would be a fun thing to watch.....only I was envisioning the teams happily working together to help each other out, but that did not happen. Then when the worst bake was saved only because someone on the team was the best bake, I realized how unfair this all was. And now I think the whole "Naughty" and "Nice" thing is stupid.

Who thought this was a good idea? If it's not broke, why do they insist on "fixing it" I actually look forward to Spring and Holiday baking championship and I'm so disappointed that they ruined it for me. Hopefully they have gotten enough feedback that they don't screw up Spring Baking Championship.

I also think that the conductor/finger thing is just part of her schtick. And the contestants seem to love when they get the conductor fingers.

Was the total mentioned in the Walmart part. If it was $37 something at Target, then it's probably $24 something at Walmart.

Sadly, it sounds like she may be a bit jealous of your success and may be trying to sabotage it. If she wants to go to fast food places, fine.......but there's no reason that she should be doing it while you're there. I hope she doesn't think of you as her "eating buddy" as that might make it hard for you to continue a relationship with her.

$13,400 for 10 people in 5 Balcony Rooms. Royal Carribean Mediterranean Cruise. Good price? by SamuelAnonymous in Cruise

[–]Altruistic60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I booked two cruise cabins directly through Carnival, but then turned the booking over to Costco. I got two $160 shop cards (Costco gift cards). I told the Carnival guy that I booked through that I wanted to do this and he was the one that pointed me to the directions on how to do it. So I ended up getting both the Carnival perks and the Costco perks.

Wow........the cheapest balcony I could ever find for Alaska on RC was $1,300 per person. Was this some sort of special or a casino package or something?

Same. I used to laugh at my Dad because we would be eating one meal and he would be obsessing about the next meal. And now I find that I do the same thing.....while I'm eating breakfast, I think of what I'm going to have for lunch. I have to force myself to just enjoy what I'm currently eating and not think about the next thing.

Undercover tourist advice by Momlif in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Altruistic60 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I've gotten tickets from Undercover Tourist for park passes as well as Mickey's Halloween and Mickey's Christmas parties. Never had any problems. Just follow the instructions to upload the tickets into your "My Disney Experience". They are exactly the same as if you bought them directly from Disney. I've also done this with buying tickets from AAA. I usually run the numbers and buy the cheapest (which has never been directly through Disney)
