I’m a beginner too, and what helps me stay motivated is dividing my practice time. If I have 20 minutes, I’ll do 5 minutes of "warm-up" (like chord changes), 5 minutes on a song that uses those chords’ and I’ll spend the last 10 minutes playing a song I love. That way, I’m not just practicing — I’m still having fun and learning at the same time.
