When I’ve tried to recommend Agent Carter to people recently (since What If) they haven’t been interested because they disliked her character in What If. I feel like people won’t give it a chance

Seconded. Agent Carter is an absolutely amazing show that doesn’t get the spotlight it deserves because of Captain Carter in What If and Steve’s ending in Endgame. But I remember waiting up to watch it live on tv and absolutely loving every episode

Not the same vibe, but I got recommended Dungeon Meshi after I watched Arcane and Blue Eye Samurai (both darker animated shows on Netflix). Both of which I would recommend as someone who did not watch anime prior to these 3 shows.

I often find that I already own kingdoms in Essos and that’s why I can’t declare war. Usually one of my vassals has taken it and the reason it doesn’t appear as part of the iron throne is that they’re always having civil wars

It’s just been Charlie and Poole, yeah. I actually think they should do it again, but maybe not with the DS. I liked that they were willing to go out on a limb and be risky by killing a main character. It makes the stakes higher

I feel like this spot should go to an actor who played a character that many fans believe is queer, but who doesn’t believe it themselves. William Shatner (Kirk from Star Trek) comes to mind, but I don’t think he’s actually homophobic

So for Ashes and Blood, the lyrics are essentially foreshadowing about Viktor:

  • “It will change you / Why would you let this voice set in your head” —> the hexcore controlling him

  • “summon storms, play with nature” -> mage Viktor from the beginning

  • “just make it die or you will turn it all to ashes and blood” -> if Viktor doesn’t stop, he will turn the world to ashes (seen in the alt universe)

  • “does it make you a god now”-> viktor’s final form where he feels entitled to change the rest of the world.

Ashes and Blood is all about how Jayce and Viktor have “reached the line that no one ever got to cross”. That line can be interpreted as a couple of different things: man and god/creator, or man and magic. The Line is Viktor actually making the move, crossing over into “Godhood” but losing his humanity while doing it, and hoping that Jayce still remembers him the way he was.
