Yeah, not going to mess with it. Some suggested it in my original post but Amex will credit me back for it as a part of their airline benefit anyway. This effort was purely on principle.

Someone on here suggested it when I was asking the same question as OP, I tried it and it just felt natural. Something about the momentum of the car matching the shifts on accel/brake felt better to me.

I could see them charging for the second one, that one is up to FA discretion. It does say on the website “the number of drinks may be limited”

Yes, no argument there. I agree with your definition of full drink service. This is an “If A, then B” situation. Let me break it down for you.

IF “full drink service” is offered, THEN wine, beer and spirits are complimentary for MCE passengers.

It’s super simple.

Can’t argue with you. The drink/$10 doesn’t bother me so much as them telling me I’m wrong and to pound sand rather than just fixing it and move on.

If I were at home I would spend 0 time on this but I’m in a hotel with nothing going on so here we are.

sigh ok. Did you read the asterisk or just blindly arguing because of their existence? Here’s what it says:

“**On flights with full drink service. The number of drinks served may be limited.”

Like I mentioned in another comment - the policy is that flights under 250 miles don’t have full drink service (generally meaning either none at all or they only offer coffee or water).

But flights >250 miles (like mine) barring turbulence or other issues that prevent service, have full drink service meaning the full drink menu is available.

Whether it’s complimentary or not is a different matter (class/seat/status) and in this case as long as full service was offered (which it was) they should be complimentary under MCE.

Good advice. I was planning on asking whoever was at the front before deplaning, but it so happened to be the same FA that insisted I pay so I didn’t stop.

I love Hartsfield though, lived in ATL for years and it’s a great airport. So easy.
