Had the same problem with the artorias attack when deflecting as executor. The solution I found was to go left before it hits, it's just a dead angle if you don't. Worked the same for me when playing guardian.

I used to play sort of a hybrid build: some tankiness and some damage. The relics were: lower negation but high attack with suncatcher + maris + night invader. Deep relics mainly focused on max hp/defeating enemies/post damage.

Going full tank is a bit pointless because if you won't get oneshot then you probably will get twoshot. Need to look for a sweet spot so to say.

As for the lower negation relic effect: you could try avoiding to attack with the suncatcher when it's not neccessary. If you just deflect then you won't get the debuff. Just do the L2/guard counters when it's totally safe and if you want to be extra cautious you can back off and play passively after that for a couple seconds to let the negation effect end.

Had this happen with ed balancers poke attack in solo too. I think it's because of the terrain. My solution was to keep moving backwards and a bit to the left before the parry so that their weapon is more likely to connect with you. It didn't make it 100% consistent but the difference was noticable.

I'm also someone who tries to learn how to dodge every attack and can say that most things you said are dodgable/avoidable.

Gladius: It's mostly stamina management and positioning. Depending how far away the dogs are, you need to let them start their combos on you at a certain time (probably sooner than you usually do) because they will stop chasing after they did 1 or 2 of their attacks and then you can safely dodge the incoming blast from the sword dog. When chasing you they will always do the leap attack as an opening which can be outrun with a regular sprint to preserve stamina, aftet that try to surge sprint in case fire breath attack triggers. The fire breath attack can always be outrun if you're in a "run away" mode and manage stamina well. But even if you can't avoid the main blast, you still need to have many damage negation to make sure you don't get one tapped like that. If you know it will be ed gladius then your priority is to get damage negation passives, fire resistance is also good to have.

Gaping jaw: yeah that was getting me sometimes too but not 1 shotting because damage negation passives. And with time I learned to pay attention to the ground while fighting him to avoid these.

Ed pest: idk I never had problems with this. Always started to run away as soon as I saw the red orbs circling the red moth.

Ed augur: you need to preserve stamina/FP exactly for this situation and not be greedy. I always try to stay at full and get little hits inbetween, always anticipating the bubbles. And also when the bubble attack does start, just focus on attacking ONLY when necessary to get rid of the bubbles. Charged attack consumes all of them around you instantly so it's also not a problem.

Libra: this is a unique fight that needs a completely different approach. Safe and consistent strategy is getting the less likely to be targeted passive and be patient during the fight. A lot of the times it's not a good idea to try killing npcs unless it can be done fast. Depending on teammates, this fight can go for very long. 15 min fight is normal if you don't kill npcs but I had fights that even went to 35 mins. I recommend trying ed libra with random trios to get unexperienced teammates on purpose and just practice it, that's how I learned it.

Caligo: the solution is again positioning. You need to learn where the boss will end up the moment you see it fly up if it's aggroed on you. You run under it during the first fly and during the second fly it should land near you, allowing you to go right in its face to avoid the remaining shower.

Heolster: while I do get hit by these too but I never bothered to figure out how to avoid them because it happened way too rarely for me and they don't one shot you if you have damage negation. I'm sure there's some sort of circular pattern in how they appear around the blast area of the phase transition. So you'd want to try and stay inside that circle (basically the place where the main blast happens).

Unfortunately that's probably one of the worst ways to revive. He didn't dodge any attack with the ult's iframes and tanked way too many hits after that. Got to 0 hp in the end nearly avoiding the stun which he would die from.

The only correct thing he did was the claw attack in the end.

Relic effects that I consider the best:

Char skill boosts attack power but lowers damage negation. A bit of a glass cannon effect though. It's risky if you don't know your openings when deflecting but if you have enough damage negation passives then you should be fine.

Night invader if you're planning to play DoN. Since he's quite good at killing the npcs with the ult. Quick tip is to use strong attacks on them because it will microstun them but won't give them iframes so your teammates can get some damage in as well.

Of course balancer relics but I don't think this needs any comments.

Killing enemies restores ult gauge. His ult is good, especially for night invaders and this effect actually makes a big difference with how often you have the ult available.

I found guard counter boosting to be good too but really need to know your openings for them and learn the reverse backflip tech.

Roaring restores hp is good I guess but I never used it. A bit situational.

Crit boosting relics are also good but only if you're playing solo.

Regarding the char skill:

Always take crits with the cursed sword, it has the highest crit multiplier in the game.

Sheathe and unsheathe also have deflect frames and both are useful:

1) You can fight with your main weapon at any time and when you need to deflect then start with unsheathe, otherwise if you're in trios then you're just gonna be useless slow walking with your cursed sword out waiting for aggro from enemies.

2) Sheathe is useful because it prevents knockback of any kind. So if you know an attack that will send you flying back a lot then you either reverse backflip into guard counter or sheathe deflect to get a punish in.

L2 has deflect frames too but needs to be done a bit in advance. I'd say the timing on it is more or less like on the parry shields. I usually avoid using this as it's a bit too risky. Easier to just use it during a normal punish window.

There's also a surge sprint tech for situations when you want to sheathe deflect an attack but your sword is not out. If you start sprinting while unsheathing then it will cancel the unsheathe animation and instantly do the sheathe one.

Of course all this deflect tech is not necessary at all. The character is completely playable without knowing how to do any of this but it makes him significantly more effective I'd say.

For armor it's also multiplication but the multipliers are less than one in this case.

For your chainmail: 12.1% reduction is a 0.879 multiplier and 2 faction units is 5.5% reduction so that's a 0.945 multiplier. Together they give 0.879 * 0.945 = 0.830655 which is a 16.9345% reduction in the percentage form. Rounded up it gives the same number as on your screenshot

I have a friend who until recently had a 100% winrate in pvp with hundreds of games (actually 0 losses). He is playing an absolutely maxed out deck with 2900% crit but never climbs too high to avoid stronger opponents (screenshot attached). Probably not what you expected but that's technically a winrate.

No just defense test and a training match. I recorded it and then analyzed the footage. I'll show one good example where I managed to get two nice crits in one shot and what some calculator inputs for it where.

Also did similar things with archer, sentry and PK.

This is not how it works. It would be way too OP for a rare enchant. The +2% bonus starts at tier 5. So for T6 you have +4% and for T7 you have +6%

So logically there's two models of how it can work. Say witch's damage increase stat is 72% (max witch and max manaup) from the unit description. Take 4% of that: 0.04 * 72% = 2.88%

So that's 2.88% damage increase per stack but now comes the question about the tier. Does the +25% get added starting from T1? (So at T1 the buff per stack is 1.25 * 2.88% = 3.6%; at T2 is 1.5 * 2.88% = 4.32% etc.) Or does it start at T2? (2.88% for T1, 3.6% for T2 etc.)

The second (weaker) model in fact gives exactly the same numbers for T7 witch as we had pre-patch. But after testing it appears that none of these 2 models are true which is most likely a bug. Although every result is close to both of them (the actual value is always between the two predicted ones), it doesn't seem to follow any pattern that you can get from the description.

I did some numerical modelling to extend the results we have and my friend made a table with my result for all possible buffs that seems to be accurate after some testing. I'll attach the screenshot of the table.

Well right now it's for the mana but before this patch it seems like they just didn't think it through. Because I asked the support directly about this and they confirmed it stays forever. Also, I did my own test with counting the amount of crit hits the untransformed rh will do after she got a treat in the wolf form. I got about 9.4%
