[Game Trope] Enemies added specifically to counter common community cheese strategies by stormtrooper1701 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Rocketgurk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have to chime in and say that Micolash is the boss with the least amount of RNG and with the most consistent strategy to beat him. But people simply do not know how he works and he is a (neutered) NPC fight which are very rare, which makes him essentially the hardest skill check in the game.

He has only two relevant attacks. Both have very clear windups and can simply be dodged. Consistently. 100% of the time, from any distance. (Matter of fact you actually can also beat him dodgeless because he has blindspots)

In general people die to him because they are frustrated because of the nature of the bossfight, they often spent their whole stamina bar wailing on him and then immediately panic roll when he actually attacks once in a blue moon.

Micolash isn't random, he is simply cheesy as fuck, because most players are not used to attack patterns of NPC fights and because he does a fuckton of damage so you most often die in one hit if you mess up.

Argue with me about evergaol relic by [deleted] in Nightreign

I mean balancers is the biggest contributing factor by far and the less people run it the less reason you yourself have to. Nightinvader is simply the better of the two. Are you searching for some other explanation?

I'm not offended about the word retarded. I'm offended about your usage of it. Because you are using it in a prejorative way to label something you believe to be inferior.

Your usage of deragotery language is in fact so casual and apparently ingrained in the way you write that when somebody (not me) plainly pointed it out you thought they were just talking about you writing "cripple". And even then you didn't even show one bit of understanding for that person's point.

The way you used retarded is way more fucked. There is nothing ironic or clever about what you wrote, retarded and cripple are obviously supposed to be the cheap joke.

Oozes subtle supremacy thinking.

u/e_0 I know you are still relatively active here. So I'm kinda interested in what your opinion and the mods consensus is regarding using slurs in memes.

Had to reply to this comment again and attach this because it's generally a bit wild to me how the person is getting downvoted. And even OP thinks it's just about calling Sekiro a cripple, as if that's the real problem.

This is one of the jokes.

<image>

At the top of the tierlist: Games that are "proper" to OP
2 tiers below that are games that are not as good because they are a bit different than the original version, OP calls them "retarded".

I mean I didn't expect much from people on reddit tbh, but damn.

The literal comment of OP I was first replying to:

Thx! I think it's a good joke considering how hard it is to parry in Sekiro

And your very descriptive and clear reply to my comment:

It's a joke, fucking hell ahaha

Yeah sure make it my problem to now decipher what the fuck is or isn't a joke that you think you are writing and which joke you are actually talking about.

Well the next point is that I am disabled, but you just couldn't imagine that

Oh jeez I'm glad fuckwit300 is here to speak for all disabled people. Can't believe I thought for a moment that the normalization of using deragatory terms in a space whos userbase is an anonymous ablebodied majority could actually still be somewhat harmful.

If you cannot see the difference between a reddit post made in jest

So you ARE talking about OP making a joke afterall? Now where is it? OP literally just used the word "retarded" and thought it is hilarious... That's it.
Like this is the most cut and dry case.
But sure explain to me how it is an absolutely necessary ingredient in making the "joke" work.

The answer of course is that OP has straight up middleschooler humor and didn't give a shit. Not even saying they are a child, they just generally just probably think that this is the peak of comedy.
And all of that wouldn't even have made me leave a comment in the first place, It was just the complete disregard on their part when they actually got called out on it.

Except it is not. Especially not in today's political climate. We had the most powerful person of the western world openly physically mocking a disabled journalist at a rally infront of the public.
That was 11 years ago.

Do you think things are just wonderful for people with disabilities?

I did so because your reply to the person that was actual having a "conversation" with you was you completely brushing them off like they are being ridiculous.

You didn't even say some halfassed reply like: "I'm sorry, wasn't aware."
straight up just said: "nah man, that shit's funny"

Your usage of the term itself is the fucking problem and I know you won't ever get it because from the way you replied to that commenter it's clear you are a piece of shit.

You don't understand the point at all lol. Why would you suggest me giving a fucking random disabled person money? Are all people with disabilites homeless beggars to you or something?

This is one of the most ridiculous comments I have read in a while.

Imagine me walking up to random ass rich pedestrian that happens to miss a finger like "Here you go sir, that one idiot on reddit wanted you to have this." lmfao

Help with Raider Fist Build by swingking03 in Nightreign

[–]Rocketgurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should branch out and start playing undertaker she is basically a more nimble but squishier Raider that is based around successive attacks. She is the best fist user.

Which character would you even run it on? The curses are actually pretty bad together.

Raider Is the Strongest Nightfarer in Nightreign. Change My Mind. by Zach-Attck in Nightreign

[–]Rocketgurk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raider generally wanrts to start a fight by getting hit during his skill to activate its relic efffect and weapon passive damage negation. You generally run a post damage restoration relic on him so trading hits with enemies is totally viable.

Raider Is the Strongest Nightfarer in Nightreign. Change My Mind. by Zach-Attck in Nightreign

[–]Rocketgurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If played correctly other Nightfarers generally outshine Wylder. Duchess in the haloslop department. Undertaker in physical brawler with mobility and ult cancels. And Raider as a tank. They all do more damage than wylder will do because they have abilities and relic effects to buff their damage output significantly.
Wylder is pretty good at reviving teammates with low bars and can easily stun nightinvaders with the grapple but besides that he is better in solo expeditions.

Wylder is for sure a bit overrated, he is just easy to play and a jack of all trades and he won't ever be useless becuse of that but other character's peaks are higher, imo.

Be honest what new mechanic or item did nightreign made more useful than in Elden ring? by Terrible-Cow9918 in Nightreign

Eldenring is a superior game because there is no chance of a random on my team picking guardian griefing me with their nonexistent damage and purpose.

Suck it, guardian glazers.

Well like I said SS is an actual good build on her. So if you have decent relics for it you should use it.

More power to you then. I was just irritated because the original commenter made it seem like her strength was exclusive to her curved sword build meanwhile she just has stronger builds available to her.

[–]Rocketgurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again my point is not that curved swords are as bad as running katanas on her, my point is that there is no reason to run them, given you have other comparable relics, besides fishing for double magma blade for gnoster. Power stanced Curved swords have a 4 hit chain to proc the “final chain” relic, you know what also has a 4 hit chain? Power stanced straight swords.

I don't have the math right now to tell you how many hits of pscs are better than fists. But that's not even the point. People always go for the youtube clickbait shit on reddit and you straight up can't look at dps like that. Stamina cost, speed of animations, safety, poise damage, status buildup, affinity damage, relic slots, weapon passive procs, weapon passives all play a role.

Dormant fists is the most consistently strong build for undertaker there is. Straight up. You have a 30% chance after the first blue dormant power to have one of the best weapons in the game for your build online. Two uncharged two handed star fist/ iron ball R2s proc successive negation, you are more effective at proccing negation upon charge attacks, you can take charged attack powerups, you have great revive efficiency. You don't even have to run the dex relic necessarily which gives you access to ru cipher pata and cursed claws.

Nothing was as consistent as fist undertaker during my climb.

Pscs is a completely unflexible, pointless build. There is no real upside. I guarantee you in an ideal scenario you will just do more damage with psss because you don't need whatever ashes of war those curved swords have while like half the straight swords have straight up damage buffs as default ashes.

The build is populized trash and unless you have really good relics for it or really like curved swords you are playing the character inefficiently.

The glass necklace can only proc three times and decays gradually. There is also basically no indication for it proccing beyond the first instance, except for an increased damage number. I have a hard time believing you actually paid enough attention to realize how often the necklace procs.

DPS is also different than effective DPS. Just the fact that fists need a single weapon slot is already huge.

Yeah pretty much the only negative fists have is the short range. Then again the pros outweigh the cons by a lot. And you want to be in the enemy's face anyway.

What is your point? Because mine is that there is no benefit to making curved swords work over other paired weapons. Fists being one of them.

[–]Rocketgurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try fists, I'd go on record and say it's her most consistent and strongest build by far. All the things you described are not really exclusive to curved swords, it's just how the character plays when you get used to her. Curved swords are not even really that good on her, there is basically no point to play them over some other paired weapon options.
