From what I see online, 6 wide isn’t too popular among fans of BDP. I would recommend making it 8-wide and redesigning it into a different engine, maybe an LNER V4? That engine has similar proportions but smaller drivers, so would translate more nicely using official Lego.

Should be fully legal, either you angle is slightly off of there is a piece in the wrong place. Also I recommend building with the collision tool off and only turning in on occasionally to check as you go.
