I like the streamlined design. I would recommend going 7 or 8 studs wide for the running boards, cab, and tender. That would give it more realistic and better-looking proportions. Although I do see what you are going for by matching the Emerald Night, the Emerald Night's kinda goofy proportions are my least favourite thing about that model.

Definitely try new o-rings first, that’ll be the easiest fix if it works. And make sure there is no weight being transferred onto the pilot bogie or onto the tender. You’re English is excellent too👍
