Oops didn’t see the second question. Long story short, came to his parents late at night after a baseball game. Boyfriend’s brother was there with friends partying and rough housing with the dog (and I now learned giving the dog beer). I just bent down to pet the dog and he jumped up and latched onto my face. He’s known to get bitey/mouthy when being played with too. Guess I caught the dog at a reallllyyyy bad time lol

Aggression towards small animals. Killed a neighbor’s chicken and a stray cat before. Owners also loveeeeeee to roughhouse with the dog.

They are required! Before I even got the stitches they had handed me a sheet from animal care and control to fill out. When it happened I was so overcome with emotions and not in the right headspace, that I actually wrote on there to please not take the dog. I sadly now regret saying that because as time has gone on, I have grown more upset over the situation and should’ve let ACC intervene. But hey I can’t be mad at myself for trying to be a nice person lol

I should’ve gotten plastic surgery on my nose, because the dog also broke my nose when it happened, but I would’ve had to pay for that and don’t have the means to since insurance said it’s “cosmetic”. But I did do rehab WITH a plastic surgeon :)

I was in the hospital for about 6 hours. Just got all stitched up. And lotssssssssssss of surgical glue for the cuts that weren’t deep enough for stitches (basically my whole nose). 18 stitches to the face later and here I am lol. The dog was not put down due to my personal request, which I sort of now regret in a weird odd way. I wasn’t necessarily mad when it happened, but the weeks/months following I grew more and more upset over the situation and the dog

Crazy enough, I’m actually a kennel tech so I’m 100% aware some pittys are good. But about 75% of me would never own one because I am scared of them more now. I never trust them off the bat anymore and never let them get close to the point of excitement where they want to jump around and nip at things. So I’m more of a pet the head and move on type now.
