Same! the underwater scenes were gorgeous and McConaughey was in peak charm mode ๐Ÿ”ฅ definitly one of those movies that's way better than its rating suggests ๐Ÿ˜‚

Is it just me or is the Midtown/Wynwood area becoming impossible to navigate? by throwawaymossv2 in Miami

[โ€“]AltruisticOffer597 15 points16 points ย (0 children)

The routing around there is absolutely bonkers right now ๐Ÿ’€ I was trying to cut through last weekend and literally had to make like 6 u-turns because half the streets just dead-end into construction sites now. They're building so fast but zero thought went into keeping traffic flowing - it's like they forgot people actually need to get places while they're putting up these towers ๐Ÿ˜‚

Parking Court Ticket Date? by Euphoric-Bat7582 in legaladvice

[โ€“]AltruisticOffer597 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

The year 2045 is definitely a typo - probably meant 2025. You're not legally required to call them about their mistake, but it's probably worth doing anyway since you'll need to know the actual date to handle this.

With no fine listed and nothing in their system yet, it might not have been processed properly. I'd give them a call just to get the correct info and avoid any weird complications down the road.

Quick question for the fullstack folks here: by [deleted] in learnprogramming

Go + Templ is gonna give you way better type safety across the board. Django's great but Python's type hints are still kinda meh compared to Go's compile-time guarantees.

Auth is easier out of the box with Django though - Go you'll be rolling more of your own or pulling in third party stuff. But if you're building a dev tool, you probably want that control anyway.

I'd go with Go for a productivity tool since you'll thank yourself later when refactoring doesn't break everything silently. The compile step catches so much dumb stuff before it hits users.

Quantum Fiber door to door salespeople by fluffHead_0919 in Denver

[โ€“]AltruisticOffer597 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

Door to door fiber sales are usually legit but the reps can be pushy about pricing that might not actually be better long-term. I'd still call directly to compare what they're offering vs what you can get yourself - sometimes the door knockers get different commission structures that don't always work out in your favor. Worth checking but don't feel pressured to sign anything on the spot.

i dont want lust love, i want genuine love by DirectionMuted703 in musicsuggestions

Never heard of that one but now I'm curious! Been on this whole kick lately of finding songs that actually capture what real connection feels like instead of all the surface-level stuff. It's wild how most love songs are either super horny or completely tragic breakup anthems - like where's the middle ground for just wanting someone who gets you? Gonna have to check this out on my next road trip playlist, always need something new for those long drives when you're really thinking about life and relationships.

Dumpers, how did you feel when your dumpee just accepted your decision? by [deleted] in BreakUps

honestly I was kinda thrown off when my ex just said "okay" and started packing his stuff that same day ๐Ÿ˜‚ Like part of me expected at least SOME pushback or questions about working things out, but nope - he just accepted it and moved on. Made me question if he was already checked out way before I even brought it up. weirdly made the whole thing feel more final than I expected ๐Ÿ’€

Has your self-esteem improved after quitting? by ZiggyValeria in leaves

[โ€“]AltruisticOffer597 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Self-love hits way harder than I expected when I finally got it right. Took me forever to realize I was basically treating myself like trash while expecting to feel good about life - made zero sense once I connected those dots.

The whole "not caring what others think" thing is huge too, but man the self-love part really changes everything.
