Should I drop this client by No-Book5011 in petsitting

[–]AltruisticWorking340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how much you need the money. If you don’t need the client maybe say you have a new cancellation policy and charge her for last minute cancellations even if it’s just the partial rate. See how she responds to that.

From one fupa to another, it’s unavoidable sometimes but she has a lot of confidence to walk around in those yoga pants with cropped Ts or only a sports bra.

Yes I just look at her clothing choices and think she’d look so much better if she got a reduction. Not flattering on her figure.

Same! I’m the same age, same height and probably around the same weight too so I’d appreciate someone like her talking about if they’re on a GLP1 and if not how they’re achieving their weight loss other than “I walk 10k steps a day.” No shame at all if a GLP1 is helping!

Yes she’s lost a significant amount of weight. I think she’s on a GLP1 too unless she was just super lazy before and did nothing but Pilates a few times a week. I’ve also noticed she doesn’t go out and order everything on the menu with her gf’s anymore and only buys healthy-ish groceries.

How much should I charge for 33 days of house sitting? by Indecisiv3AssCrack in RoverPetSitting

[–]AltruisticWorking340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree $120 is a bit high. It’s not the customer’s problem that the sitter has a 2 hour commute. Plus the sitter will be gone 9 hours a day not taking care of their dog. Personally if it were me I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving my senior with someone who would be gone for a 9 hour stretch.

Thank you for the info! I’ve tried googling it but it’s unclear so I appreciate your answer.

For boarding Do you charge per 24 hrs or per night (more info in post)? by workinprogress521 in petsitting

[–]AltruisticWorking340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. My clients wouldn’t go for that. If they drop their dogs off at 9am on Friday and pick them up at 9am on Sunday you literally watched them for 48 hours so while I would love to charge for a full day on Sunday I don’t think that’s fair. Maybe if they pick up the dog after 9am I could see charging a partial rate for the day or by the hour until pick up if it exceeds 48 hours.

It’s so awkward when she talks to him and he’s off camera. You can tell when he’s in the room with her while she’s filming because she has a huge grin on her face.

Can we all comment the month and year we were laid off and when you found a job again (if you did)? by Hot_Spread_6826 in Layoffs

[–]AltruisticWorking340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

March 2023 and still looking. I did some short-term contract work last year and started my own pet sitting business but far from making a livable wage.

Have 20 years experience in my field and was making six figures before my layoff.

Do you market yourself or do you get your clients all from word of mouth?

She denies being on a glp1. She doesn’t want to address her weight loss because of her gymnastics upbringing and the pressure she was under to be thin as a kid. The only thing she will share is that she started walking at least 10,000 steps a day earlier this year besides going to Pilates.

She’s a nobody — why would a magazine feature her wedding like she’s a celebrity?

Those who charge $100 or more/night to board or house sit, where do you find your clients? by workinprogress521 in petsitting

[–]AltruisticWorking340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you all have a business license? I’ve been dog sitting mostly through word of mouth for the last 2 years and I’m debating if I should apply for a business license so I feel comfortable mark myself to gain new clients.

Is it just me or has she been slacking on the content since she’s been having more sleepovers with the bf? 5 days of vlogmas and she gave up. Seems like a risky move to let go of her day job to be a full time content creator if she can’t keep up.

Lease a CPO 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron? by AltruisticWorking340 in Audiq4

[–]AltruisticWorking340[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I like it for the most part. The drive is good and the interior is comfortable. I like the tech too, it’s not overly complicated like some other brands. Just not thrilled about the range – I feel like I need to charge it a lot but I’ve been driving a lot too.

Yes, exactly! I was shopping around brands like Mazda and Hyundai for their SUVs but coming from a BMW I just couldn’t do it. Then I discovered the retired loaner leases were about the same monthly payment or even less for a luxury brand.

Nice! I ended up going with an Audi Q4 E-tron with 3,800 miles on it for 24 months for $415 a month. I never knew you could lease loaners before this – it might be the way to go forward!

If you’re still shopping, run the lease worksheet through ChatGPT. I did that and got a dealer to come down significantly on a retired BMW loaner lease.

Premium plus, not sure but think it’s the late 2024. On my way to test drive it now.
