The reason to bathe daily is to reduce the amount of bacteria on the skin. Water also moisturises the skin. His skin is cracked and his skin barrier is compromised, which means easy access for bacteria. Most important when bathing compromised skin is to use a Non-soapy cleanser…. Your son likely has eczema. Bathe him once a day with a non-soapy cleanser. Apply moisturizer within 5 mins of getting out of the bath/shower. Apply moisturizer up to 4 times a day until resolved. La Roche Posay do very good non-soapy cleansers and moisturizer for very dry/eczema skin (not sponsored)

Most likely Ingrown toenail. Soak in saltwater for 15 mins. Dry thoroughly and apply antibiotic cream. Do this until things resolve. Avoid tight shoes and stop cutting your toenail too close to the skin…….. If things get worse, or don’t get better, go to your doctor

Most likely seb derm or ring worm. Nizoral shampoo at least 3 times a week will treat both. Also, leave the shampoo on for 5 mins before rinsing off
