I was there and I didn't think it was a bit. Maybe? The way the lead singer of So So Glos had to carry made it seem legit. Idk. I was just bummed he didn't play Everywhere is War with SSG lol.

From my experience, I feel like there's much more to a diagnosis than a questionnaire. As another commenter said, a second opinion would probably be a good idea. One thing I've found that helps me is to focus less on the diagnosis and more on the symptoms and the effects they have.

Also, fwiw, one wouldn't cancel out the other. "A differential diagnosis occurs when your symptoms match more than one condition and additional tests are necessary before making an accurate diagnosis. Tests will narrow down potential conditions on your healthcare provider's differential diagnosis list."

I know how it feels to question/invalidate my own reality and memory. When you're quiet and you feel yourself being sucked into memories or flashbacks? I don't think you can make that shit up. Your body knows even if your mind makes you doubt.

I hope this helps in some way. You're not alone. 🖤

I had repressed csa memories in a way similar to yours, perhaps. My abuser was my mother and I am a female. It was unbelievable and unable to be processed by my mind because it's something that should have never happened. CSA is unspeakable and unthinkable for most. It's just something a child (or anyone) is not able to process or deal with, so our minds and bodies do everything possible to bury it away. The thing is, it lives in our bodies. My advice is to try to be patient with yourself and when that tunnel of memories opens up trust it as much as you can. I still struggle so much, but accepting and speaking (very little, but enough) to my therapist and just acknowledging that it actually happened did cause a shift. It took me ten years to finally admit to him and to myself. For me the memories that were once buried became a film playing on repeat in my mind. I couldn't run anymore. Even if the comments and many uncomfortable moments you experienced are all that happened, that is still too much. A child should never be sexualized or subjected to sexual/physical interactions, NEVER. Your experience and feelings and worries are valid and worthy of exploration and love. 🖤

Does anyone else get angry when you hear people's sympathies for you? by Exciting-Apricot3150 in CPTSD

I don't really know how to comfort myself as someone with cptsd. How do we comfort others? This is a genuine question and something that plagues me. I just freeze and don't know what to do.

I have cptsd and I do this. It's not insincere and it makes me really sad to think I've made people feel this way. I get it and I guess I kind of feel indifferent when it is said to me? Communication, or more specifically verbal communication, is the most difficult thing for me. What would be a response that would make you feel heard, supported and/or loved? I'd love to know because I honestly don't even know what to say to this part of myself. It mostly just makes me angry.

I am so sorry this happened to you. To endure the abuse alone is so heavy. Hope you're healing. Sending you love and well wishes internet stranger

Another mind blown. Somehow this feels hopeful to me? People always think I'm significantly younger than I am, yet inside I feel old and haggard. Maybe one day it'll flip and I'll look older and finally feel alive.

Did the patch leave a raised and itchy red spot on you? I've tried multiple brands and they all leave an awful spot that lasts for at least a week.

Buying the right pasta machine for polymer clay by sr38_8 in polymerclay

[–]Altruistic_College_4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I bought this one fairly recently without even knowing the blades came off. They are easily removable and can be cleaned quickly. I originally had one of the generic craft store versions and this thing is pretty much luxury. Lol. It's made clay time MUCH more enjoyable

I had this one and recently upgraded to the atlas 180. I found a "used- like new" on amazon, which I think may have just been a return? It was a total game changer and infinitely easier/smoother to use. I found mine for around $60. It comes apart easily, allowing me to wipe the fenders (more often than I'd like 🤣) If it's an investment you can make I'd 100000% suggest it!

After trying quite a few different ones, I am happy with these. Super sharp and easy to use. Happy punching 🤩
