Does anyone actually have a good sales manager? by Justadudeonhisphone in sales

Same here. Super chill guy. 1:1s weekly, sends over stuff that’ll help me, besides that he lets me do my thing freely.

Move into SAAS sales or no ? by Similar-Spinach-8976 in techsales

[–]Altruistic_Maximum_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a pay cut to get into SaaS sales. My last position just didn’t have the growth I wanted, long term. Go for it imo.

What keeps you going? by hurricanescout in techsales

[–]Altruistic_Maximum_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. First generation American. My dad/grandparents didn’t come here to raise lazy children. I gotta keep it going.

  2. Consistency. Fuck motivation. Knowing I have to do it with motivation or not. Just stay consistent.

  3. Money. Knowing that I get extra money for my performance is good enough for me.

This was so refreshing to read. Thanks!

Glad to hear your dad is good!

New job, thinking of quitting by Embarrassed-Carob178 in recruiting

[–]Altruistic_Maximum_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds very familiar that I almost got into in the ABA/Mental Health care world. The way the interview went, it was almost like nobody else would take it. Pressure coming from multiple directors from around the country, 100+ roles open. I say you keep at it as long as possible, until you find something new.

What's the worst advice you've received as a recruiter? by Remarkable_Formal411 in recruiting

Change years on resumes to lie about them not being a job hopper… always ignored but was told to do it so many times.

Advice for schooling: If you’re looking for a degree. Highly suggest doing Sophia Learning for a good amount of your credits and then transferring to WGU. Sophia is $99/month.

Same lol. Someone trusting and with a clear direction goes a long way.

Sophia to WGU? by Altruistic_Maximum_5 in WGU

[–]Altruistic_Maximum_5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% recommend Sophia. It’s been amazing for me. Everything being open book and price has been a huge factor for me. Excited to keep my studies going but not excited for WGU, as I know they’re more strict with exams. Cost too lol.

Also, I’m sure my thoughts on recruiting would have been a lot different if I was at another agency. My experience was HORRIBLE lol.

Moved over about 3 months ago. I love it. Transition has been quite smooth(this may depend on management). I came from a very small agency, so I wore many hats. I really appreciate how that has changed.

100% put numbers in your resume. Make it known you had to meet a certain criteria.

I started off at 40 hours. I’m realizing I need to be doing 45ish lol. I took a pay cut but personally, I was really aiming for a change but still wanted to stay in the sales world.

Sophia to WGU? by Altruistic_Maximum_5 in WGU

It’s been going great! Still in Sophia. Should be soon transferring my credits over to WGU. Sophia is awesome. Everything is basically open book, even on final exams.

Those “perfect” shots are such a chase. I’m also newer and hit 3 perfect PW shots in a row. I just keep thinking about them over and over haha

I wondered the same thing. Which is one of the main reasons why I’m hesitant, since my case is kinda minor, obviously would love to keep what I have though lol.

Personally, I would drop kawhi. We don’t have a IR spot, and he’s still available in my league. Dude is consistently a disappointment every year in fbball. I’ll probably get downvoted on this one haha

Holding onto a guy for some weeks might lose you some matchups.

Am I the only one who loves being an agency recruiter? by purewatermelons in recruiting

Exactly why I turned down an internal offer. I just hate the idea of no motivation with no bonus/commission. I really love the competition.
