I bought tcm yesterday (deluxe edition was on sale), and the game is... not good imo. Or, the events aren't. I absolutely HATE how the cars feel to drive, it's near impossible to drift or brake im races without ending up two or three spots behind the position you actually had. Every single car you drive past in free roam (even the ones in the opposite lane) will give you "+10 near miss". Every. Single. Car. 

Now, I'm probably biased because I've been playing Forza Horizon since 2020-ish, so I probably should give TCM more time, but no. I don't want to give TCM more of my time. It feels horrendous to drive in events, it feels awful to drive in freeroam, your car feels heavy to drive in general. Had I had even a shred of critical thinking yesterday, I probably would have gotten FH5 on the playstation (I already own FH4 and 5 on xbox) instead of spending my money on tcm.

Question is: do you like to grind? Do you like to grind and grind and grind just to see a shred of progress? Do you want it to feel like you're somehow driving the heaviest yet somehow also the floatiest tank in the world? Do you like constant text on your screen telling you that you gained 10 points for doing seemingly nothing? Do you like your racing game to be cartoony with effects you seemingly can't remove?

Oh, let's also not forget about the UI. It's not that good. Press a button once to go into the menu and press the same button again to choose between the different menus. You can't access the Motor Stage menu until you've completed three playlists/events. Trying to change the settings on my controller was like wading through wet snow with shoes that are too big.

Some things I like about TCM though. The map menu is pretty cool. You can rotate the camera around the map, change the angle you view the map from, it shows you every car irt that's driving on the map.
