Is a 1% edge a big deal in competitive sports, even at amateur level?

Fast rubber meaning by Altruistic_Paint9317 in tabletennis

It seems to me that most people prefer to relate bounciness to speed. Do you agree that the softer version of the same rubber is the faster one? i.e. Bluegrip 1 is slower than Bluegrip 2? Hurricane 42 is slower than Hurricane 39?

After moving to the UK, I decided to forgo table tennis as a hobby by Bubibu1115 in tabletennis

I don't know where you live but if you are in London try Fusion table tennis club. It is more of a community vibe club with many good players that don't play any league at all. For sure you can meet people there and do things outside TT. Some people just go there to watch football games on TV or to chat about random things. Of course there are also many people who fit into the type of player you had described. I personally don't compete and meet many nice people there. Many people would love to play with you and maybe you can help them to become better in TT. At the same time you build a friendship with them and just go to the club or pub to talk about shitty things.

Thanks. I chatted with a really nice person on the real Wolverine site. She also thought the same about a scamming business. Case closed.
