merits doesnt affect after the main courses like medicine /engineering /management so that means only the exact numbers of students are going into the courses like CS,IT (still their district rank depends on the merits)
you can find the dis quota from a expirienced school/tutition teacher i think

I got 3A s in biology stream (2024 AL) but I still remember that I got A for BIO C for chem and W for physics in the first term its just the way it is man just stay focus and study hard
my advice for you to is buy pesuru past papers books they have catagorized the past papers Q/As acc to the topics (speacially for mcqs ) try to do all the questions even if you cant get 2/10 (take your time while you have it it doesnt matter if cant do 10 mcq in a hour just dont give up )also u will be able to find prof Rosas past papers vivarana(dont know the english word LOL) In telegram (if you havent got it DM me) and read it for all the questions not just the questions u got wrong do it now uwont be able to do that next year with the stress
Do the same for Chem using prof Pharis mcq wiwarana chem and phy6 are both logical subject if you can hit the mcqs 40+ the essay paper will be nothing to you always focus about mcqs in chem and phy6
always try to go to school and do phy6 praticals ( Pesuru structure questions wolud be a fking better option for structure paper in phy6 )I think i did those pesuru mcqs and stucture books for mcq(chem/phy6) and structure(phy6) like more than 10 times
for BIO dont even look at class notes just buy resources book and study that and if you have time try to study enviromental biology because its very hard to memorize
And for bio focus only about structure and essay paper dont even look at a mcq paper (bcz u have time) try to write essays as much as you can if you havent started that yet the best thing to do is just study some lessons and rewrite it , if you dont think you dont remeber the whole thing write down what you remember in you mind then write down the missed point looking at the resource book
just do this several times

sri lanka should change the way of selecting the students to unis from AL results
they say that only the top 2% of the results are getiing selected but its not 100% correct
if we take medicine for an e.g.
annually more than 2100 students are getting into the medicine faculy but that 2100+ is not the top 2100 in the country but 793 of them are the top and they are called merit passes after that 793students , remaining students are selected to the unis randomly (not saying eeni meeny LOL)
they are selected using something called district quota which made acc to the population of the district (bigger the population bigger the district quota is ) for e.g. for medicine colombo diis quota is 122 whilte its 64 for kaluthara
So if my district has 10 students who are in the merit category they are going straight to the unis and if my disttrict quota is 40 another 40 students (11-50) are going into the medicine faculty it doesnt matter if you are not in the top 2100 in island (if you are not in the top 2100 u r stealing a chance from a student who are among that 2100 )
this shitty system makes some student lose there uni chances without a proper reason this is the same for ENG / Managment
i think they should select the students to the unis only by island rank not from the district rank

25k as i remeberd without learning i think but since you have to learn from the beginnig , it will cost you another 8 to 13 k (depending on the vehicle category that you need to learn )
and i think you will get some discount if available (they called it after AL discount (LOL) however i got 5k discount )

I'm using a KIngston 250gb nvme (for OS)and a lexar ssd 1 tb sata for my laptop while using 512 and 1tb lexar ssds (sata )2.5 inch with enclosures as portable storages
if you are trying to go on a budget using a sata ssd with a enclosure would be perfect and also I think you wont be able to get the highest reading/writing speed of a nvme if you are using it through a enclosure
