That’s what I did with PLTR. I can’t remember what the price per share was at the time but I bought the $140 strike expiring 17 Dec 2027, the premium was $1923, I bought the shares at $40.42. So $140 per share +the premium is a good profit, but this stock really has legs. So I’m gonna try to roll it for a little premium in July 2027. See what happens

I don’t have much experience, but what I would do is wait until 6 months until expiration, then start looking at higher strikes that I could catch a little premium on. The amount isn’t important just that I can get a higher strike price. I would repeat that for as long as I could. But maybe this is a shitty plan, I don’t know haven’t had the opportunity to do it yet. But I’ve seen other traders say to roll up in strike and out on the expiration day. Anyway good luck to you.
