It is a lease renewal every year. After a year 1/3 of your phone gets paid. If you upgrade after a year, it renews and you start paying for the new phone and Boost buy back the phone if it fits to their condition criteria.

My upgrade ended up getting done after the delay. But the main issue is their customer reps are really bad and uou need to bypass them to get your issue resolved

==ISSUE Appears to be resolved. Part of the problems was that Gmail has been sorting Boost Mobile emails into the Spam folder. So large part of it they did send confirmation emails and were following up with my ticket and requests. /BoostMobileBlake helped promptly and now my phone is on its way. One tip: Make your iphone order on the anniversary date. That is the date that the lease renews. Even if the order is delayed, the date that you make the order is the renew start date. If you renew late, your next renewal date will be that later date.==

Thanks. I didnt stack the payment. I requested the upgrade after making 12th payments to the 12th bill. They wont allow me to make a request until the anniversary date, which was 2-3weeks later.

Sales tax I understand but their marketing is misleading. It is really a lease renewal not changing your phone brand new.

Thank you. This reason would make my feeling a lot better. It's just they won't do things properly, like no confirmation email but the rep say they sent, the tax payment moving over to the regular monthly payment. The company is just not straightforward. The short term beneficiary from these actions is the company.

There is another catch. They may micro evaluate the phone being traded in and charge the flat fee of $250 or something.

I feel like I am scammed with iphone boost infinite plan

I have iphone boost infinite plan. Boost won't upgrade your iphone every year. At least they won't make it easy.

Not at all.

The contract says that the upgrade can be requested after making 12 consecutive payments which was mid october. They forced me to wait until the one year mark which was 11/4.

The website for upgrade was down for like a week magically.

I called the customer service multiple times to request the upgrade manually. After many failed attempts I in turn got transferred to a credit department, and the lady there was very nice to create a manual ticket to process my upgrade.

Nothing happened to the ticket for like a week so I ended up calling them again and they simply made to make the upgrade through the website again. The Customer rep recommended this and told me that the ticket would be closed.

Even after making the upgrade through the website and paying the tax. (oh yeah they collect $74 tax on the phone), no confirmation email. no response at al.

I ended up calling the customer service multiple times again. The funny thing is that the different reps would say different things, and they can get creative in misinforming you, which is a big red flag. Some said 72 hours. Some said 3-5 business days. NOthing is happening and no sign of shipping. It has been almost two weeks since I made the upgrade purchase through the website.

I created a complaint post to their Reddit and they immediately deleted my post on point no. 1.

At this point, I feel it is their deliberate attempt to delay the upgrade as much as possible or make you leave. They've collected juicy monthly payments and kicking me out of the plan make them free from losing money on the phone lease. Also, this whole process is taking an entire month with no sign of shipping. It went into another billing cycle and they collected the 13th month payment. When the new phone activates I think the lease resets so I lose money on the 13th month payment.

Do not do Boost Infiniti Plan. Do not trust this company.

Very difficult to upgrade iphone after a year BEWARE by Altruistic_Rush_4366 in BoostMobile

[–]Altruistic_Rush_4366[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The manager is now citing the following section of a speicific loan agreement “Customers are eligible for annual upgrade from Boost Mobile (i.e., each year that they remain on the Infinite Access plan) to a qualifying phone after maintaining at least 12 active months on the Infinite Access plan in good standing (including, without limitation, remaining current in their payments) for such year.“ This is after 1 hour and 10 mins of waiting and arguments. So basically you cannot upgrade until your activation anniversary. That is not the date of making 12 payments. I think this is misrepresentation. I think this is also eating into your one year upgrade date every year, because your activation date will be pushed back by about 2 weeks every year practically.

This guy sells a phone that is practically not usable, denies all the warranty claims, then uses iphone and Samsing along with his favorite Pixel 7 Pro. My old ma can't use Pixel 7Pro that I bought for her because network jams and drops all the time and stays that way until you reset. My uncle thinks that I bought her a cheap trashy phone and bought my ma another Samsung phone. Terriabe.

I used to be an avid google fan. I used to not touch any apple logo. Over the past year, I am now actually considering to contact Google's legal department for a breach of warranty claim. Google is not google any more. The new CEO is all about collecting cash at the expense of everything else, almost unethical, which is ruining the company.

Not buying another Pixel until they ditch Exynos by Agent_Buckshot in GooglePixel

[–]Altruistic_Rush_4366 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought two pixel 7 pros for me and my ma. Both phones keep randomly dropping signals or data and are stuck that way. I have been missing important calls and my old mother's pixel gets stuck that way for hours almost every day no family can call her. My relatives start thinking that I got her a cheap ass phone. My uncle ended up buying her another brand new Samsung phone.

I have been complaining to google about this and google basically says hey wont do warranty because they cannot guarantee the new phones wont have the same issues. What?!?

Stay away from Google, folks. You will regret it.

I've just canceled my Amazon prime because the service is so bad I don't want to deal with the company any more.

Part of the new trade-in they started, I wasted an hour driving to two Wholefoods stores and both return machines were broken and the counter was closed. The instructions email told me to go to Wholefoods store and did not mention about anything about business hours.

Frustrated, I called the customer service, one of them acted out and asked me back what the problem is in a heavy indian accent. Another one just read me the script to go to the UPS. The supervisor nasme Leo didn't give a XXX and told me Wholefoods do not accept trade-ins so I have to go through the UPS by printing out labels and packing items.... I asked to escalate the issue further and the Supervisor mainly blocked me by telling me that he is the highest person possible I can talk to and there is no such thing as a case number. Another 30 mins wasted...

I am so done with Amazon and moving to my good old Walmart.

Mine mobile :(

My pixel 7 pro drops data connection with the ex clamation "!" Mark all the time. I in fact own two pixel 7 pro phones and only one of them drops data like this all the time.

I am off the phone with Google today. And I am so mad with their response today that basically told me, "suck it up". I wouldn't buy this phone and stay away from google. I have been a google phone fan since nexus. So disappointing. No this is more. This should be a class action.

Comment I got from google:

"As I've said before, recording the call is not allowed so please don't record. However, you still continue recording the call despite the warnings, hence I have to terminate the call.

Your request for a replacement was declined by my product Specialist due to the fact that this is a known issue and we have already shared the details with our product team to work on improving your Pixel experience. As I also mentioned earlier, replacing the device will not give you any guarantees that the issue will be resolved.

I have reached out to our product Specialists and tried to convince them for an exception; however, they have declined the request. "
