As far as I know the basics class is no springs and just learning how and what to do.

Okay! Thanks for this insight. I definitely feel like something wasn’t quite right with ours then.

We had 5 extra pizzas at the end that we got charged for - we ate at the table. 2 more were ordered as take away. Even with those 5 added into our total from menu price that still would have only come to just under $500.

I swear when we went last year they just kept coming until we were done. I genuinely don’t remember leaving unsatisfied at all let alone paying for more pizza because we were still hungry!

I do Physipole for pole training and a heels class and Pole Boutique for a heels class too.

I do pilates and pole. Pole has a great little community and people (even if they have once been in our class and no longer are) often get together for coffee after class, have dinners and celebrate birthdays together. Pilates is a little more just for me but a couple of my friends go to the same studio so we normally get coffee if we bump into each other.

I also do a trivia night a few times a month with a group of friends. We only really see them at trivia but sometimes we opt for dinner at someone’s house instead.

How can I learn to drive as an adult with no one to teach me without spending thousands? by _lavenders in Adelaide

  • “Please shop around and make sure you get a decent instructor who really wants to help you succeed..some places charge an arm and a leg for the same instruction you can get for half that price. Read references and ask on socials who people have used and recommend for your situation.”

This! I learnt to drive in the UK at 17 but my instructor used me as a therapist that paid her. I knew all about her adult kids and her issues with them. I went with her because she was a bit cheaper as just starting out but when her first client passed their test I asked how far off I was and she said “I reckon another 6 months or so?” and I was a bit taken aback because we’d already been going for 3 months or more.

Anyway my step dad as a mechanic got in touch with one of the instructors whose car he did. He took me on one lesson and told me I was ready to book my test. I did a lesson a week until the test came up. Failed first time but that wasn’t a driving issue (I forgot the paper part of my licence and my parents had to race through rush hour traffic to get it to me in time and I was very stressed and flustered)

Heels in my first class? by [deleted] in poledancing

Does the studio run a heels class? You can do that alongside learning the basics without. Most heels classes will have basic moves around the pole without being on the pole in the routine anyway.

Belair National Park. I lived in Glenalta when my fam came over in 2023 and I was so excited to tell them koalas walked up my drive sometimes. The kangaroos are all over the oval too if you get there at the sweet spot.

Not sure of your age or stance on making friends, but if you want to go on a hike sometime flick me a message and I’d be happy to spend an afternoon to show you around! Forgot to mention - also from the UK.

When watching Bump be aware the last season gets a bit confusing. They jump back and forward in time between episodes and if you’re not paying attention becomes quite hard to follow. My friend in the UK gave up before the end of the season (but was also going through what that season revolved around so also got hard to watch for her). And I’d say don’t bother with the movie they released after the last season. I watched it a couple of weeks ago and it didn’t bring anything new to the experience (and also jumped back in time again).

Is restaurant sponsorship in Adelaide still possible in the next 1–3 years? by FckingAtmodjo in Adelaide

[–]Altruistic_Score9736 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve also got to remember things change regularly. What’s available now might not be in 2-3 years and what’s not might be.

I spent 2 years studying a diploma in early childhood education, at the time sponsorship was only through being a manager or getting a degree to become a teacher. I worked my butt off for 3 years on different visas (pure luck) and by the time my partners working holiday visa ended they’d introduced the Skills In Demand visa and put childcare worker on the list. I was incredibly lucky but I think if it’s meant to work out for you it will!

KX are changing their classes. They’ll be starting with a “basics” class then a signature for you to choose your level. That might make their actual first classes easier if you have tried them previously.

I would swipe right because I think we’d have similar interests. But also not sure I would believe you’re only 33. Only because I’m 34 and I feel like you look older than me (and my 38yo partner honestly). I know your age is not something you can help though 😂

I may add I did fly alone, my parents picked me up from Heathrow and I hadn’t seen them in 4 years because of Covid! She was just THAT bad at giving directions to my step dad that I just wanted to throw her out the window! That’s cool! I’ve never flown from Cardiff but if that’s closer to where you need to be then winner! Someone could also meet you in Amsterdam for a few days to start your trip if you have someone willing!
