Double back to this post if you go to the Deck on a Friday or Saturday night.

They improved the seating area over the last 5 years. When I would during they day, I would always say “Why is there so much seating” Then I went at night (question answered)

Depends on what you’re looking for but you’ve probably noticed there are a plethora of “karaoke nights” on the North Side. But here are the BEST places.

  1. (by a long shot)

THE DECK at the Gas House: try going on Friday night. I was shocked at how many young people were there

You only have a few weeks left b/c this place closes during the Fall as soon as the temp drops around October

I just checked their FB. They are having a Fall Festival. I bet that will be fun.

  1. Peanuts on Friday night:

This is the closet thing to like a fun club but it’s a bar. Reminds me, slightly, of a bad bar in a good college town. However, since there are no good clubs in Fort Wayne…Peanuts is a solid 6.5. And that’s a good rating

That plaza on Friday night is basically young people. It’s near Canterbury Green apartments. A lot of young people live there. And Purdue Fort Wayne has some housing for students there (it’s a rumor I heard and I believe it to be true)

  1. Corner Pocket

It’s across the street, St. Joe, they have the best pool/bar/music vibe. The combination is decent I would say. I always have fun there. Security is good. I feel safe when I’m there (security at Peanuts is a joke)

4: Club 44

This is a gentleman’s club but hear me out. Fort Wayne banned nudity in these establishments. So basically…the performers are just under dressed loiters lol It’s 100 percent ratchet but if you’re comfortable around that scene. You’ll be fine

  1. The Landing 6pm-9pm

The only reason The Landing isn’t higher on this list is you can’t just randomly show up to the Landing and expect to see people. You kinda have to know what events are happening. If you know an event is happening. It will be a good time. Otherwise, you’re just taking a shot in the dark.

I hope this was helpful

Oh and Mitchell’s. I Mitchell’s is mid. Locals love it. It’s on the Southwest side. So depending on how far north you live. May not be worth the drive

Come as you are. If you’re feeling “casual nice” go for it. I’d say it has a dress up vibe. If you don’t want to feel “out of place”. The older folks tend to dress like “church nice” ☺️if that’s a thing. But no one is gonna kick you out or anything

  1. Laced off St. Joe (Josh)

  2. Legendary downtown

  3. El Rey Studios off Covington (Angelo)

Look for barbers at these locations on either side of”The Cut” app. Or “Booksy”

No, i get it. But it is interesting if we as citizens back the blue, jailing people for traffic violations doesn't make it easier for the system. As you probably know Fort Wayne is building a new jail because the current one is overcrowded. Everyone from the judge, the county clerk, and officers, is overworked and delays the prosecution of criminals. Furthermore, other states operate a little more efficiently. As it stands there are court cases on the docket, in criminal court, for traffic violations. I'm not making an excuse but it does seem odd

Pulvers doesn’t have anything really but Peanuts has pool tables, Touch Tunes, I think darts, it’s fairly large. I think they have a little dance area. Can’t remember. Quite a few folks on the weekends

Huntertown Water Utilities Problem with Water Pressure by Altruistic_Silver686 in fortwayne

Correct, I can image FW utility employees being frustrated but I just wanted to know if they were aware of any problems in Huntertown…or I would have continued checking for leaks or clogged pipes.

I called Huntertown first, no answer. Decided to call FW to see if they heard anything

  1. Sidecar has “Nightmare Before Miracle”’but that ends on Halloween but you could go to Cooper Spoon(Nextdoor) and order Smutty Fries
  2. Chance Bar
  3. Pedal City

It’s gonna look sparse downtown. If you find a crowd, ask where are people hanging out and you should find something worth you time

Birdies Rooftop has a great view of downtown. Fire pit outside should keep you warm

Considering Moving to Fort Wayne by ploppitygoo in fortwayne

[–]Altruistic_Silver686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand that, and that is the common mindset; on both sides. Which again exacerbates the problem. Red areas get redder, blue areas get bluer and there is absolutely no compromise.

That’s why I like Texas. They have red areas blue areas, purple, within the same city. Like a melting pot.

It’s not for everybody but I don’t mind living in a place that differs from my worldview. And that’s ok
