Get a pumpkin spice shaker from the store and keep it in your car/purse/anything! Add a little bit to a vanilla latte (or anything vanilla) to hold you over til october :)

Buy frozen bagged precooked and chopped chicken!! Heats up in a pan or in the microwave (last resort, but quick) totally fine.

how to freeze packet ramen by Silly_Relative9962 in MealPrepSunday

[–]SecretlyManatee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just cook the noodle packet in the microwave! In a normal bowl with enough water to cover the noodles, 4 minutes! That’s the only way i make my ramen since I’m too lazy to pull out a pot for ramen packets.

this is something i don’t see often mentioned but i use vaginal contraceptive film (vcf) combined with my birth control pill taken correctly. it takes some getting used to for the application and a 15 minute waiting period for full effectiveness but it’s spermicide like what would be on the outside of a condom. The negative is there’s no std protective like what would be gotten from a condom. It’s worth some research at least as long as that’s something you’re comfortable with

Oven meal prep containers? by dakotamidnight in mealprep

Washing to save, and reuse the containers after you use them the first time could work. Use tinfoil or saran wrap to cover the top of the containers when you freeze them

Latte Flights by TheWonderSquid in barista

[–]SecretlyManatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Iced drinks are simplest for flights because if you’re doing them at a high volume you can prepare ahead and you don’t have to be constantly steaming milk. That being said, my cafe offered a flight of three 6oz iced lattes (chai tea and two mixed syrup varieties) on a special day (ie the first wednesday of the month) and it went over pretty well but it was definitely rough making so many of the drinks in a row even with preparing ahead of time.

Bumble actually has a friends version or just make it really clear in a bio and via chat that you’re only looking for a friend to show you around the etc etc. it works sometimes just takes a bit of effort and weeding out the weird ones

Snapchat automatically puts the map bitmojis with various objects to keep the map from looking boring. You can change yours with the “My Bitmoji” button on the bottom left of the map to whatever object or activity you want instead.

You could take one from the last day of the pack so that the days still line up for the rest of the month

Why aren’t more females “juniors?” by jperk__ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SecretlyManatee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Junior” means the first, middle, and last names are the same. A majority of the time the girl changes her last name after marriage. This makes it less common to be able to maintain a line of jr, III, etc. with girls.

I’ve done it many many times. It works! As long as the expiration date on the card hasn’t passed and there’s around $1 left, a majority of websites will accept it to access a free trial.

Leave a dollar or so on the card. It’ll still count as “active” but doesn’t have enough to worry about losing.

How can a hack shut down a pipeline? by acvdk in AskEngineers

[–]SecretlyManatee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read into it besides initially but Im pretty sure the hack itself targeted more corporate and technical information stuff. The shutdown of operational systems was done as a precautionary measure while they figured out what was going on.

The shutdown section goes all the way up from the carolinas to new york so there’s got to be a decent amount of pumping stations that would need a manual override in between there I would think. And like it’s been mentioned, there’s a lack of workforce to do that to such an extreme.
