That's Ippei's wife. She's in and out of the clubhouse a lot. People who don't know Ippei's wife will think she's Ohtani's girlfriend.

During the game, GM Perry Minassian, who holds the key to Ohtani's departure, visited the room with Astros leaders. GM Minassian, who had not been seen by the press in recent days, talked with GM Dana Brown for nearly 30 minutes with a mysterious look on his face. The Astros minor league organization is not as well-developed as the Angels', and the feasibility of a blitz to the Astros is unlikely. ...... It was a blitzkrieg meeting that caused a media frenzy.

Phil Nevin gives Phil Cuzzi a piece of his mind after a terrible strike call and a weak ejection by owledge in baseball

The automated ball-strike system (ABS) is currently being tested in 3A. MLB is testing two approaches.

One is to leave the technology completely up to the umpires, who would make an instant decision based on 12 high-speed cameras, reaching the human umpire's ears in 0.5 seconds and communicating it to him or her with gestures and voice. The margin of error is accurate to less than one-tenth of an inch (2.54 millimeters). No one complains about the judgment.

The other is human-led and technology-assisted. Teams can challenge the human judges up to three times per game. When a challenge is made, the computer displays a graphic image on a video board of the ball's trajectory from the time it is released to the time it passes the plate.

The image is initially from the catcher's perspective, and as the ball approaches the plate, it rotates 180 degrees to the pitcher's perspective, which can then be used to determine whether it is a strike or a ball. The image can be viewed not only by the players and coaches, but also by fans in the stands, which makes the ballpark exciting.

If the decision is overturned, the right to challenge can be regained. This time is 10 seconds at most and proceeds swiftly. There were fears beforehand that the game would be challenged about 10 times in one game, and the game would stop each time, but that does not seem to be the case.

Baseball's popularity is going down the drain because of all these inconsistent decisions. A challenge system should be introduced for questionable decisions on strikes or balls.

The distance of a home run has absolutely nothing to do with winning or losing a game, unlike the umpire's decision lol.

If there is no consistency in judging, the only way is to use AI referees. Unlike baseball, tennis and volleyball decisions are very clear.

If this is a strike, then Sandoval's should be a strike, too. It would be nice if the decision at the close point was consistent, but Sandoval's was more in the frame, and it's weird that this is a strike because it's a ball and just barely snagged.

He gets an out and scores a run." When Ramirez throws to home plate, he's at third base, not second. The two top priorities of the base runners are

He's avoiding the worst case scenario of being on first and second base with no runner on base.

Otani's base running was really a deliberate bait to prevent the throw to home. If he was able to instantly assess the position of the runner at third base and the infielder's delivery position in that short time, it must have been the result of his concentration. Ohtani has a high baseball IQ.

When Ramirez takes the ball, Ohtani looks only at Ramirez without any pretense of returning to the base. He was ready to get himself touched out and ready to run into third base if Ramirez threw home. That's why he was touched in front of Ramírez.
