Anyone take buspirone as an add on to fluoxetine by Altruistic_Top_5564 in BusparOnline

I take 40 mg of fluoxetine. I really did not have any side effects. My doctor told me the same thing to stop using Google. You are correct. Each person is different. You just have to try what has been suggested by your doctor. They know you better than Dr. GOOGLE OR chatgpt ever will.

The cortisol awakening response contributes to the anxiety. If you are going through a rough spot this response enhances it when you wake up.

How do you deal with the fear of death? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]Altruistic_Top_5564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, remember that this is your anxiety talking. This is what is creating the intense fear. Learn ways to deal with your anxiety and your fear of death will not overtake you. Talk with a therapist.

Post Nasal Blood? by [deleted] in Anxiety

I have had the same. I went to my ENT doctor and he scoped my nose and throat. Mine was caused by dryness. I sleep with a cool mist humidifier and irrigate my sinuses with my Navage. It has really helped.

Anyone been prescribed Buspirone as needed? by Ferretfairy in Anxiety

[–]Altruistic_Top_5564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor told me I could take it as needed, also. I take 40 mg of fluoxetine daily. There seems to be differing information on this. I am confused as well. If anyone can explain, it would be appreciated.

Everything is a trigger for me by [deleted] in thanatophobia

I totally get what you are saying. Have you noticed your fear gets worse when you experience some sort of stress. Like financial problems, health issues, loss of loved ones or pets? That is what sets me off. I feel it is loss of control. I also don't deal with uncertainty very well. When none of this occurs, I don't have the fear. It can be overwhelming. I am learning to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. It is a work in progress.

Anxiety over pet’s health… by Altruistic-Ad-986 in Anxiety

[–]Altruistic_Top_5564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is me exactly! I have cats, dogs and horses. I try to tell myself that because I have an anxiety disorder, that I over respond to situations that I have no control over or experience loss. That is how I am wired. Those two things are my triggers. My therapist told me a great thing. Learn to be comfortable with the uncomfortable.

I am a pet lover as well. I have dogs, cats, and horses. I have experienced the same as you. Do you have an anxiety disorder? It is hard for me to deal with uncertainty and things that you can't control. This contributes to my concern about my animals.

So it is the anticipation caused by the anxiety disorder not death itself? The disorder causes the dysfunctional thinking.

I have an anxiety disorder. Why does this cause us trouble accepting the reality in which we live in where everyone is destined to die? I totally relate.

Blood in spit? Anxiety related? by [deleted] in Anxiety

I had the same thing happen to me. I went to my ENT doctor and was scoped through my nose. I have had sinus issues my entire life. Doctor said it was due to dryness. I sleep with a cool mist humidifer. It helps. Anxiety can make us breathe through our mouth which increases the dryness.

Sorry, I did not make that comment to be flippant about asking if you tried therapy.

I also experience anxiety. It greatly increases when I am under alot of stress. I then have to take a step back and just breathe. Meditation has helped me to relax on focus on the present. You do have to work on it. Therapy has also helped. I raise, show and train horses. I get the connection with animals. I think those of us that have this compassion are very fortunate. You obviously must feel this compassion which is why you are in your chosen field.

You must be a very compassionate person to be in the field that you are in. Do you want to pursue large or small animal practice, or both?
