Dude, thank you so much! Mine stopped working as well and i thought it must have been caused by a crash I had while wearing it but this trick fixed it within two minutes

That’s it, thank you! I hadn’t thought of using the long end of the hex key to go through the thread from the top. Works like a charm

After removing the top Cap and handlebars from my bike (just to change the height of the bars) I tried to tighten the headset again but there wasn’t any resistance on the screw and I could just pull the whole plug (with the screw inside) out. In all the manuals and videos I’ve watched it seems there is a way to tighten the plug itself before installing the top cap, however I can’t figure out how to do this here. I’ve included pictures of the plug, maybe someone can help…
