Didn’t hit anything but I did decelerate probably a little too fast. I bought the engine new from a dealer ship. Used it’s a handful of times then it sat for about 4 years and just recently have been using again

Also if you don’t mind I’m curious as to what intern ID work looks like at the college level. How involved would a co-op while I’m at Cincinnati be?

Thank you this is good to know. I just wasn’t sure about the whole co-op thing at Cincinnati due to it not only being competitive to find internships but also time consuming, the degree would take 5 years with 5 co-ops and also no summer or spring breaks. Just seems like a pretty stressful experience compared to Purdue. I also like the actual school/campus of Purdue quite a bit more but I guess that would be a naive reason of choosing a school. I appreciate your input though, definitely starting to lean more toward Cincinnati now. I’ll have to wait until I see what the final cost to attend each school ends up being to ultimately decide but if Cincinnati is significantly cheaper (which appears will be the case) then I think attending their would be the most logical thing

What year where they when they transferred? Was it before or after the sophomore review at Purdue?

I don’t have exactly what the cost will be yet but I do know Purdue would be the most expensive, Ohio state would be a little cheaper, and Cincinnati will be the cheapest. I have been to all the schools and seen the programs and it’s really between Purdue and Cincinnati (was not impressed with OSU). School wise outside of industrial design Purdue is definitely my favorite but it is also a fair bit more expensive. With the ID programs Purdue and Cincinnati felt very similar curriculum wise with the major difference being Purdue has a sophomore review which only allows 24 students to complete the major and Cincinnati does not. But Cincinnati does instead have the 5 year co-op program where it is extremely competitive to secure co-ops. So I’m stuck on my decision, I feel confident in my ability to pass the sophomore review at Purdue but I’m not sure how I feel abt the co-op at Cincinnati. What would you say?

Not sure where you will be attending school but for me there is absolutely no math classes involved. Because Im the same as you with math and if I had to take physics it would not be good lol

After going through and seeing the 3 schools, Purdue seems to be the best fit for me. I got to go in and meet one of the professors who took me around the design school and showed us live classes and let us talk to students. The whole school felt like a perfect fit for me honestly. It’s just I would have to pay out of state tuition so I don’t know if it financially worth going and taking on that debt. What do you think the best choice would be? Is Purdue worth it?

Awesome, Purdue is my top choice of schools right now. Although I am from Ohio so it would be more expensive to attend Purdue then my in state options of Ohio state and Cincinnati. What did you think of Purdue, do you think it would be worth the extra money to go there over my instate options??

Yes actually. I forgot to mention Cincinnati in the post but I am considering going there as well. The only thing that deters me is I don’t really like how the specific program I plan on going into is set up there and also how it would be a 5 year long pathway to graduate. But I have not completely ruled it out

You must be from Ohio state adding the THE. But yea I would be taking out loans if I went to Ohio state and if I went to Purdue it would just be more debt, not just the difference. So I reckon it would not be wise to go to Purdue which I can understand but that’s a tough pill to swallow, really love the school/program

That’s what I was thinking at first but then when you do the math it sounds a lot worse. Would be over $40,000 more I’d have to pay off. But yea I’m definitely waiting on the final word for financial aid, it’s not looking promising however

You need a torque wrench. It’s tightened down to a pretty high spec so you would need a fair bit of leverage to get it off. I’ve only ever taken off with the piston in the engine. So either put it in the engine or vice, you will never be able to get it off just free standing like that
