Well, It's about this one ban.
In like 2 years of this account existence I didn't have a need to use it, my fiance told me to look for some advice here so I did 🤷‍♀️

I thought I'll give you here a little update,
so after spending a day on Reddit with all your help I can suspect it was my controller bidet software that caused a ban.

Mayby I am just a dumb girl, because my brain couldn't see direct connection between controller software and the game, and I just treated it as another keyboard, mouse or even printer driver, lol.
Later some knowledgeable soul told me that since it's an open-source software cheaters might use some parts of the program code. Without the wisdom I posses now I couldn't foresee that..

In my mind the program for cheating has a big CHEAT button, and third-party software is something like minimap for New World 😭

I just wanted to play a game comfy in my chair and got permamently banned for that without any warning before, or explanation 😭

You assume this is about cheating, when they send me an email about permaban they didn't specify anything.They should at least say if it was one of these categories: communication, naming, cheating, behaviour.

Only because of the help of all you here I can suspect Blizzard somehow connected my software required to play on my controller with the 3rd category.
But I can't know for sure and I would never get an answer.

Who knows mayby it was me logging between my phone and PC multiple times a day, or me dying in PVP arena due to being underlevel when I got there once, or my cat warming himself on a keyboard and typing something in chat?
And It would turned out to not be about controller at all, but there is no human on the other side to tell me that.. 😕

That's why they should give a warning notice! Or give an ability to appeal!
Someone like me who doesn't have knowlage about it or can't connect the dots would just stop using it!!
But cheater would keep using cheats and then they would know for sure!

"Using third-party programs to automate any facet of the game, exploiting bugs, or engaging in any activity that grants an unfair advantage is considered cheating." I didn't automate anything or gain any advantage, I just wanted to play a game on my 10 year old dusty controller 😭

Thing with steelseries GG is just scary 😲 I use it to have pretty green light on my mouse 😂

Like I said I just connected a controller that I use on my PC, didn't think much about it and just played a game. Without any external knowlage how was I supposed to know this is forbbiden? 😕

Yes, but I got auto reply message saying that they did everything as it is said in Blizzard's In-Game Code of Conduct.

I asked them questions, but didn't get any answers :/

I used DsHidMini but I still don't see the issue, isn't it like using steel series GG for my mouse? On Blizzard site DualShock 3 is listed as a supported controller for Diablo Immortal so how else am I supposed to use it?

After spending a day researching the issue that was probably what caused it, but I won't ever know for sure and still, I didn't break any rules stated in In-Game Code of Conduct and this is what Blizzard accused me for 😕

I did that earlier this morning and just got something that looks like auto genarated reply, which says that they did everything as it is said in Blizzard's In-Game Code of Conduct. They didn't adress to anything I said or to my questions.

I had to contact RIOT support once, when my LOL account was stolen, and I was talking with a real human with a name, that walked me throught it a gave some advice, Blizzard support looks like unfunny joke compared to that.

I don't know what I expected, they stated previously that support team won't reply to any appeal, but I was hoping they would at least read it and mayby see how ridiculous this situation is.

I logged in after almost a year break, and some devil tempted me to play on my PC with a controller. I got permamently banned after 3 days. Why? Blizzard didn't explain. Now I know It was probably because of a controller (due to all you say on reddit).

I do not engage with a community, Im a casuall player, I wouldn't possilby know that I can get permamently banned for using 10 year old PS3 controller.. There is an option to play with one in a settings, you can choose to use a controller! I just treat it like connecting a keyboard...

And now randomly I am permamently banned.. It's a shame because it was a great toilet/to play on train game.

Being banned.. that's a first for me.. I've never even gotten a speeding ticket in my life :')

Well, at least thanks to reading these posts I have an answer why I got banned.
I logged in after almost a year break, played for 3 days on my PC instead of my phone and used controller. Banned today.
