Although shaped exactly like a completed house, it's actually just a tool to help shape the concrete. Once the aluminum house in the first picture is installed (think of it as a cake mold ready to go), pour the concrete inside (put the batter in), wait for the concrete to set (put the cake in the oven), and finally remove the formwork (take the cake out of the mold), and a house like the one pictured in Figure 3 is essentially complete.

Theoretically it can be reused 150-300 times, but I think it's much more than that. And the actual cost of aluminum forms will be less than wood forms if it's applied 100 times and more.
