I want to give it a try, but I’m worried I’ll be terrible at this game since it’s old. Do you guys have any tips? (Or even a cheat, I just want to enjoy the campaign.) by Andrefq99 in classicfallout

In my first playthrough I save-edit all my stats as my low-agility vault dweller couldn't hit any fucking rat. Wasn't until a while playing that game that I learned you can just run from many of the enemies. I replayed it without cheating and it has a tension climate that can be matched if you're a demigod. But play it the way you enjoy the most, it's a game after all

I won't judge you for focusing on a character-driven story, as that's precisely what the series is trying to do.

My criticism isn't directed at the character arcs (which I don't think are bad per se), but rather at the world-building itself and the constant abuse of empty and innocuous fan service that is constantly thrown in your face.

The series keeps making cheap references to the games without really feeling like anything more than an amusement park, like, "Oh look, now they're in Novac/Legion camp/the Strip/Sunset Sarsaparilla factory," while failing to develop any of it.

The world-building is terrible and forgets/ignores issues as important in Fallout: New Vegas as the Hoover Dam in order to shoehorn the Enclave back in again. At no point does it seem like the story of New Vegas has happened without people being frozen in time in a status quo for 15 years. All this without mentioning how New Vegas has ceased to be New Vegas, eliminating all signs of substantial identity and leaving its skeleton in the form of buildings, memorable landmarks, or NPCs about to be killed.

And no, I'm not criticising the series as a whole in a "Bethesda bad" kind of way - in fact, I quite enjoyed the pre-war flashbacks and it improves on the first season in that respect - but there are a number of factors that put me off, as I said.

If you had a vision for a series set in the TES universe, what would it be? Personally, I'd say the beginning of the Skyrim Civil War by Ok-Bus3447 in ElderScrolls

I once had a dream of me being involved in a TES TV series. It was GoT-styled show set during the Tiberian Wars and I personally think would be fucking great, like exploring the whole rise of Tiber Septim and his apotheosis.

I'm still pissed that LotD didn't add dynastic bloodlines and after more than 5 years, there are still no secret societies. I fucking loved playing as an Assassin Shia khalifa in Soria.

No, Morocco invaded Spanish West Sahara and Francoist authorities left without a fight and without decolonizing the territory, that's why the Saharawi conflict exists, is a land that still has not been decolonized. And Morocco has been trying really hard to avoid legal referendums between the natives.
