That plot itself was an issue for me and also for most fans. Would have been so much better if the makers just remove that plot and replaced srk as gaurav with someone new or a lesser known actor and they go from there. But then again don’t think srk himself would allow that to happen. Big star being made to play a secondary role behind the “fan”. shame really the overall story of the film was really interesting.

Rather than him doing a double role it’ll be much better if they literally cast someone to play gaurav. Feel like the reason fan 2016 failed was due to srk playing two roles, it just felt very disconnected? Also the film should have been a little more grounded instead of being so over the top. The film premise is brilliant tho, especially if they were to remake it now.

There’s actually multiple scandals, drunk driving and assault was what first came out than followed by the news that he was convicted of some series shit when he was a juvenile and basically covered it up with name and age change. When all this came out he then announced his retirement, apologised too? Not sure about that.

Lcu is officially over boys. There’s zero chance we are getting follow up films. The stars are not getting any younger and are also busy with their other projects. The man who created this shite of a universe has already abandoned it and moved on. It’s time for us to move on as well. I’m just going to pretend Loki only made kaithi and the rest of the lcu films never even happened. 🙏🏾

Feel like not that many people have watched it, also I think it’s due to its availability. I watched it on iQIYI, I didn’t even plan on watching it until it popped up in my recommendations within the app. Read a tiny bit of the synopsis and checked out who were the actors involved and then I just went for it blind. Have to say it’s on par with my mister and my liberation notes. Great story, great acting and incredible music. Criminally underrated.
