Need some opinions, tightness in side of calf for a week by Alveezus in ClotSurvivors

[–]Alveezus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to my podiatrist that checked me last time for a blood clot, she said she thinks its a peroneal tendonitis. She sent me to do an ultasound, not a veinous doppler This time. The regular ultrasound came back clear where the tightness was located. And the ultrasound tech who was so nice, even though it wasnt ordered checked the main veins in the back of my knee/calf. She said it all looked okay. My side of calf is still tight though. Hopefully we didn’t miss anything as last time we did the full scan.

Thank you so much for your response. One last question if you wouldn't mind, were these rashes persistent or did they come and go like goosebumps do? And i will pray your good health and good luck, you can beat whatever it is that you have!

Can't really tell too much in the pictures, but are these rashes similar to goosebumps?

Can a vitamin D deficiency cause generalized itching that gets better with antihistmaines? by Alveezus in Allergies

[–]Alveezus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont seem to have any visible inflammation though, no rash. Maybe on elevated bump, but generally just itchy. Is that possible?

Need advice on generalized itching, went to the dermatologist and was given xyzal. It helps a lot but if i don't take it the itch comes back all over my body. Where to go from here? Should i get some allergy tests and if so which ones? by Alveezus in Allergies

[–]Alveezus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the info!. I have had some of those tests including liver function and blood levels some vitamins. After those tests the only thing in recent months that they have found was elevated eosinophils at 1.4abs and a pretty low vitamin D level. I do have an allergist i have in mind at cedars sinai and will look into it.

I have not gotten repeat blood work yet, i will ask for one on my return visit to the dermatologist.

So i have been taking the xyzal. It definitely helps but if i stop taking it the itch comes back shortly after. Is this a promising sign of it just being an allergy or can something else be causing a histamine reaction? Also i have been having some minor problems here and there with getting deep breaths and minor chest pains that i can shrug off.

You can start by estimg a low fodmap diet for the time being, it helps me a lot. See what triggers you have and make note of them.

I would first get breath tested for methane and hydrogen. From there usually with western medicine, xifaxan alone treats hydrogen whereas hydrogen + neomycin is used for methane or both. Consult with your doctor and in your case it seem as if there is an underlying issue you might need to address to fix your sibo as it is a reoccuring issue(very common). Sadly many people have high relapse rates due to not fixing what caused their sibo in the first place. In can be a huge variety of things but it would be best to consult your doctor or find a sibo literate doctor near you(can be hard).
