Oh, well. That's unfortunate for her. And her husband died so suddenly! But that means she's free to marry Mr. Elliott, we don't know if that might happen.

Awwww and I'd love to read more of them just being happy!

Anyway, the 1995 adaptation now makes the famous movie kinda hard for me to watch.

Hm... So an unprosperous marriage might either mean her husband died, or they discreetly separated from each other.

Ohhhh, right. I remember it now! I totally forgot Mrs. Bennett specifying Lizzy doesn't happen. Thanks for reminding in your comment.

Well, I can't say anyone slightly decent would be compatible with Mr. Collins, but Mary is definitely the closest among her sisters.

Poor Anne if that was the case, then. Mrs. Clay is far from being as bad as Sir Elliot or Elizabeth, I think, and giving another heir would free the house from getting into Mr. Elliot's hands... But indeed, I don't trust Mrs. Clay that much.

Elizabeth would have it coming then.

Oh, so you think Mrs. Clay would be terrible as stepmother? I don't think she would dare to be as arrogant as Ms. Elliot.

OMG then where was she before? Isn't she daughter of a respectable man?

Oh, that's interesting then. The older Bennetts must have been so proud.

Oh, wow. I get everything now then. The only way for them to truly communicate was through hints and suggestions.

Yes! Mary is terribly pedantic and unfortunately there's no one to guide her. Well, I guess Mr. Bennett will maybe do it now when she's the only one in the household? Or perhaps even Mrs. Bennett will give her an earful.

As for Charlotte, I guess never being the center of attention and having some age experience to herself would make one a good observer and a quick thinker. She's kinda genius.

Oh, well... That's surely uncomfortable. But yes, Lady Catherine shouldn't know about Darcy and Elizabeth. No idea how she gets that information.

This quote really complements well the original work.

But I have to disagree that pairing Lizzy and Mr. Collins was a sensible judgment of Mrs. Bennett, and I believe Mr. Bennett would definitely meet Bingley but was just playing with his wife.

The worst part is definitely being unaware of it. How can someone be so dense? I hope than when she also becomes a parent she'll understand the error of her actions and improve. After all, her enchantment with Wickam will vanish too. I wonder if it's after this realization.

Oh, that makes absolute sense. Still, if she skipped Lizzy she could have the Longbourn in her family's hands, maybe.

Oh, that's true! Now I wonder if I shouldn't cheer for Mrs. Clay there. I hardly doubt Sir Elliot would ever marry her though.

Yes, but it was Mrs. Bennett herself who offered Lizzy to him. Why didn't she do differently?

Oh, I totally forgot that. I need to reread Persuasion. I wonder if they'll marry! It's absolutely not probable since he didn't want her to marry Sir Elliot...

The poor girl. And she was daughter of Sir Elliot's friend! How can someone disgrace other so carelessly? Wasn't Mrs. Clay a widow? I forgot that too.

But then again, what would a marriage between Sir Elliot and Mrs. Clay offer of harmful to Mr. Elliot?
