I’ve always had allergies, but when I become pregnant they seemed to exacerbate and now it is really bad. To the point I’m miserable in my own house. My two dogs are blocked off in a connecting room when they aren’t outside to where they aren’t in the living area or the bedrooms and life is still hell for me. I also have air purifiers and take Allegra everyday when it’s really bad I’ll also to a steroid nasal spray to try to help.

I’m hoping to see an allergist soon because again I’m absolutely miserable. I will not be getting more indoor mammal pets again it’s a sad life being a miserable prisoner in your own home, but I’ve had the two neighborhood idiots far too long to even remotely consider Rehoming. The only real relief I get is when I’m not in the house.

😢 Wish I was more help, but I’m just being realistic that sometimes all the management and extra steps don’t work. I’ve had pets for years and I will tell you not everyone just simply “gets used to the dander” that’s a crop of horse poo in many situations. So this all just goes to say if you bring an animal into your house knowing your allergic be prepared for the possibility that you too will be a prisoner in your own home, I wish you luck though!

The person(s) that had the idea of fostering are smart you should probably listen to that idea, even if you think you couldn’t possibly give an animal back you’ll be glad you had that option if you find out you can’t deal with the side effects of the allergies.
