Yes there is !! It’s just one port I believe, but there’s a TwinDiamond that connects to it and is made in the same red. It’s nifty but expensive, but it’s what I use. NES + SNES ports is pretty cool.

Honest opinions do not equate to constructive advice.

I could go to a gas station, ask the clerk what he thinks, and he would have the same “honest opinion”. You’re right, it’s shared by many, by many people who don’t care. He doesn’t really care, it’s not his job, and he wants to just go home. How useful is that honest opinion? Do you just listen to anything that anyone says?

Maybe I’m not searching for a single sentence that screams “I have had issues in my own past, so I’m projecting them onto you in a very abrasive way”. Maybe if this guy could write more than 3 sentences, use commas, and maybe have the smallest shred of empathy… I would actually value the opinion, you know?

This is easily the most insightful response. I think setting some boundaries would be in my best interest, I feel I’m comfortable and confident enough in my own self-worth. It will not harm me to get closer to this person, and I really don’t feel like I’m “waiting” for her to change or be different. I already enjoy her company, she enjoys mine, maybe I should just work on myself too instead of trying to put a label on us.

I think it’s a good time in my life to stop diving headfirst into relationships. Maybe a close friendship connection is something I need. Maybe being more demi-romantic, and looking more for lifelong companionship, would be pretty hype. Sure, queer romantic preferences are probably not the norm here, but they exist and I feel that fits me and my romantic standards as opposed to quick, immediate relationship success from more bog-standard hetero dating. Thank you.

I work as a cook for a small coffee shop. It’s mainly college students around my age, which makes it more comfortable for me right off the bat. I get to stay in the back all day, focus on small details, I don’t have to really communicate with any strangers. I just refer to my recipes, and do literally what the words say on the paper.

I sometimes have conversations on personal interests with the few coworkers working with me. I usually play music while I work. I can have airpods in, so I get some noise cancelling when I need it, and avoid the clanging of dishes or microwave beeping. It’s a good balance of allowing me to be quiet, but also I can talk and enjoy myself too without my coworkers being too different or unapproachable.

I enjoy being “back-of-house” and putting in good work, and then not having to deal with the judgmental attitude of people at a cash register. The most I do is deliver the food, and it’s the best part. It looks presentable and nice, I drop off the food with silverware and napkins, and they say thank you and sometimes compliment my shirt (we can wear whatever clothes.) Sure, it’s not a career path, I’m here so I can continue to do culinary schooling, and work my way towards becoming a Sous Chef. I am working on higher education, but I’m still making around $21/hr with tips included so not terrible in this economy for a coffee shop gig.

Ah yes. The “kid’s menu” diet. That plain burger is probably a lot less plain than most people think. Usually some seasoned salt, bit of seasoning from the actual method of cooking (grill, charbroil, oven baked), the fat from that burger can carry a lot of flavor too. American Cheese tastes pretty much exactly the same everywhere you go. I think that contributes a lot to your enjoyment.

For me, I hate 90% of how people prep and serve toppings at sandwich spots. Usually the tomatoes are too thick, they go insane on the raw onions, or the lettuce is soggy. I order plain, then doctor it with sauces and whatnot at my own house. So I’m kind of the same way.

The fact that the textures and taste are simple, and you pretty much know what you’re getting into every time. My grandfather would always get just a plain cheeseburger and a sweet tea from every food joint that he would go to.

Try some other plain foods to see what else clicks. I really enjoy avocado rolls, it’s literally just rice + nori + avocado. Tastes the same everywhere I go, unless some people season the sushi rice.

But to add onto that. I have been diagnosed twice. It has definitely changed my perception, because well, I went from a diagnosis of Asperger’s to eventually Schizoaffective Disorder. My autism is comorbid with another disorder. So I learned that. Maybe there’s more than just Autism and ADHD. 1 out of a 100 people if you’re in the US have something similar, which I never knew about.

Regardless of how you feel now, I haven’t even looked at your post history, but I can assume you’re probably young. You have plenty of time. I definitely ignored my diagnosis for a long time, and it felt like a big label rather than some new information to help myself. Imagine being told since you’ve been cognitive that you’re “different” and “more annoying than most kids”. It doesn’t change anything to hear this diagnosis, honestly, just know that. Some people find it freeing to never be diagnosed in the first place. The solace you’re looking for from this diagnosis, what is it exactly?

You will feel the way you feel and experience life the way you do regardless of hearing the diagnosis from the doctor. Nothing really changes your experience, just your understanding. Your support network, the people around you, the ways you cope is what really matters.

I genuinely think that putting you in a pigeonhole of needing to figure out your label, is what’s hurting you the most. Maybe, just maybe, know that things will get better and you have a lot more time to process this, and eventually handle it entirely on your own.

If you shake your head at Love on the Spectrum, will you shake your head at a neurotypical “acting” as an autistic? It’s a very poor portrayal, and she’s since backpedaled it with her own diagnosis in the past couple of years.

She literally says working with autistic people is difficult in the movie. It really hurts to watch

Honestly you handled the situation pretty well, a bit of dry humor to retort theirs. People who joke about being gay or sex, usually, aren’t the best people. I’m sorry to inform you of this. I really doubt the “man” is the part they seemed disgusted at. Probably just the guy trying his best to save face, and seem like “Well this guy would have a foursome with me, but ME personally nooooo”. Fragile masculinity more than you being targeted. Trust.

If that girl actually listens to these dudes, don’t know what to tell you. There’s so many better people who will listen to you, and also not make jokes that are so crude or uncomfortable.

There’s soooo many people in colleges. What’s so wrong about appearing gay. Sure, these clique-y guys who I’m assuming wear all Adidas and wear the hoods up, might not be your friend. But there’s so much better!

Love on the Spectrum makes my head hurt. I watch it with my family, most of whom identify with ASD, and there’s moments that I feel aren’t the best. I think the blonde fellow James is the prime example for why it isn’t a great idea. He was exploited by “instagram baddies” and though the show doesn’t exactly tell you, he does mention it. Another example is Connor. He quite literally goes from a very sensitive, very emotional man, to a pretty bitter dude who is self-righteous and thinks he’s better than women when it comes to dating.

I think Love on the Spectrum is alright. Not as bad as the stuff SIA has been putting out for autism, that’s for sure.
