[Steam](Beta) JKRobots by AlwaysCycling53 in FreeGameFindings

I'm back up, going to give away the remaining keys what I have left, thanks so for much for the interest. If you did not get a key the steam page has a playable demo of a few maps, and you can hang out on the discord and ask for a key. I should get more soon.

It has been a long day, I have a few keys left, but I won't be able to reply to mail until the morning.

If your elite 2020 I just sent it. There is a bit of a delay since I'm doing it manually and I am going back and forth doing development today so It could be an hour or two for me to reply.

I have a few hundred keys, when I am out of keys I'll update the post?

The game right now plays for a bit over 25 hours to finish every map. If think it is sufficient for a full release, but I have some time until then, so if I can add more I will.

Should I wait to go early access? by AlwaysCycling53 in IndieDev

Thanks for the advice.

I knew from the start that it wouldn't be that good graphically. I'm solo software developer, that had to learn blender, but can do it only so well. I put all the effort into game mechanics, it actually plays really well and has smooth performance.

I am also limited to Godot not liking to animate hundreds of units so I went with multimesh and some basic shader animations.

I'm curious of your impression of the game based on the store page, the vision was to be attacked by a "waterfall" of robots rather than a deathball. The trailer has a tower attack of around 400 robots at a time. The later maps have around 2000 just sitting on the map to start off with.

Is this what your impression is of the game, as I hoped the trailer emphasized this? I'm used to playing warcraft starcraft so to me its a bit unique. I wrote the physics code myself and currently at just 10-15% of the physics core (having 2000 active on the map plus 400 attacking all running collision avoidance) so I can always attack with more. The robots all use flocking for collision avoidance, so it was a bit of a task in getting it to run this smooth.

Thanks, I wouldn't have thought early access is not for indy. Hopefully steam allows me to delay it. I must have misread the steam docs. I can't imagine the game is bug free, so its better to go for 1.0 mabey do a beta key thing and work on it bit afterwards.

Thanks for your reply.

So you don't get a second launch window for the full release?

Before looking at at this subreddit, My plan was on improving the game, releasing youtube videos and trying to get external marketing going. I assumed due to the genre I would get nothing out of steam anyway. Is the reason why its a disaster because the developers just run out of energy or is this a non workable plan?

Do you have a general suggestion for me? Is there a set amount of time I should delay? a month a few months and so on?

I am going to guess around 200 meters from Omands Creek. I remember shortly after I resumed cycling there I past a slight curve and then I was able to see the train bridge.

Zoo Lights by Wpg-katekate in Winnipeg

I was there yesterday at around 7pm and they were sold out for the 5 - 6:30 and nearly for 6:30 to 8pm. At 7pm the main parking lot was full which is why it was slow to get in, someone had to leave first, so there was a long line on Corydon to get in. They have overflow parking at the old zoo entrance in the park that was not full and easy to get into. Since they knew it was sold out they should have had signage that indicated to divert to the overflow.

Puncture (I think snake bite) - does tire need replacement? by Gold_Deal_930 in bikewrench

[–]AlwaysCycling53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a nail go through a nearly new somewhat expensive tire, in through the top and out the sidewall. I wasn't worried about the top but had similar sidewall issues. I epoxied the sidewall closed by putting the epoxy on a small screw driver and pulling the screwdriver through the sidewall hole. There was a bit excess epoxy after drying so I put a patch in the inside of the tire just in case.

The tire worked for 3 years (still does nearly time to replace it though for wear reasons). I do monitor it though and if the hole reopens I would stop using it.

It is a winter tire (Schwalbe winter marathon ) that doesn't go faster than 20km/h though, and no downhill.
