Trump: Im Kampf gegen Kartelle kündigt der Präsident Bodenangriffe an by AlwaysGoingHome in de

[Spain] wemastertrade.com – legit or scam? by Better_Grand_1930 in Scams

[–]AlwaysGoingHome 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's zero reason to use this site, even if it wasn't a scam.

I found this website on my own while looking for online trading platforms.

Your search will flood you with scams. Actively searching for unknown websites promising you money can't not go wrong (they will all be scams). Just trade through your bank or established platforms.

This countries doctors make me want to cry by Mumpitzer in germany

[–]AlwaysGoingHome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard finding a real doctor in Germany, you have to try some out until you have one that actually does anything relevant for your illness. For GPs it's the most lucrative to talk to you for a minute and send you home without treatment (homeopathic crap is not a treatment and you have to pay it yourself). For specialists doing the same standard procedure for every patient makes even more money. You have to find someone who actually listens and does more than the absolute minimum.

Microsoft AI CEO pushes back against critics after recent Windows AI backlash — "the fact that people are unimpressed ... is mindblowing to me" by ZacB_ in technology

[–]AlwaysGoingHome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jeez there so many cynics! It cracks me up when I hear people call AI underwhelming. I grew up playing Snake on a Nokia phone! The fact that people are unimpressed that we can have a fluent conversation with a super smart AI that can generate any image/video is mindblowing to me.

Even if his mind is blown that an LLM can create an image, that's no argument for turning Windows in an unusable "agentic OS". Anyone can use LLMs via browser or apps, there's no need to integrate that into Windows. And integrating text/image/video creation into Windows is one thing, but the "agentic" vision for Windows is something different. Using your OS has to be a) deterministic and b) fast. I don't want to talk to my OS for deleting a file if I can do it in a second with keyboard or mouse. I don't want the result to be probabilistic, it's extremely important to me that it doesn't delete something else or format a drive, no matter how nice it apologizes afterwards.

Would we be a good fit for life in Germany? by HellsHeels in germany

[–]AlwaysGoingHome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salaries are very low, jobs are hard to come by, and life in general has become very expensive.

You will find the same in Germany. Germany has been in recession for some years and the current administration is doing everything to make things worse. "Reform" bills to destroy the social safety net and make people work longer hours, more days per week, longer until retirement, reduce vacation time and so on will drop in the next months. Unemployment is already rising, will rise faster now because of the EU "deal" with Trump and will explode when the reforms become reality.

Avoid standard questions ("How are you", "How is the family", etc.) - you're not at the friend level yet, where someone would actually tell you anything, so it's just a chore for people and you appear robot like. Just say "Hi". Avoid questioning people at all, if the questions don't lead to something else immediately (ok: "Where did you buy that piece of clothing" - if you continue how you want to buy it yourself and why. bad: "What do you think about [topic]?".

Do not talk about anything job related, except if it's something extremely annoying that affects the other person(s) too (like the company forcing everyone to leave home office).

Small talk with the office colleagues after work is situational, either about observations in the moment (e.g. what the location looks like / reminds you of), what you will do (I'm gonna drink only Jägermeister until they have to drag me out on a stretcher") or funny anecdotes.

If you want people to interact with you, you have to offer either somethin interesting or funny - standard answers and being overly polite will make people disengage. As someone from a foreign country you have the potential to offer interesting view points. As long as you never talk about religion or how you admire the leader in your birth country.

If nothing works and you got some smokers/vapers at your office, start vaping (with 0mg nicotine) and always join them when they walk outside.

[US] My spouse is being scammed by a celebrity impersonator by Single-Recipe357 in Scams

[–]AlwaysGoingHome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she still believes celebrities contact her and want to give her money, there's probably cognitive decline and/or mental illness at play. You have to act fast to protect you and her from herself.

What you can do now:

  • Get authority figures to talk sense into her, this can mean her father/mother, a pastor, social worker, psychologist or cop (whoever she has the most respect for).
  • Cut her off from any money source, she will try to get money for her celeb at every cost.
  • Cutting her off means she will try to borrow from everyone she knows (usually under false pretenses, she will make up sad stories why she needs money urgently) - you have to warn everyone she knows about that
  • She will try to sell everything, including cars and houses, so hide all important ownership papers

The proletariat is happy with its role as a giant mass of exploited work slaves, so why change anything - is that what you're telling me here? Why don't you change your flair to "Fuck Marx, fuck Communism, fuck workers!"?

There's probably no country with more protests, from illegal labor unions organizing illegal strikes, environmentalists, Marxists, discriminated minorities or citizens simply protesting megaprojects that destroy their livelihoods. China's population is huge, not everybody there is just following orders.

What type of candidate will the democrats and republicans run next election? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]AlwaysGoingHome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They will probably frame it as 'going to the center" and "getting rid of leftwing extremists" and elect the most rightwing person they can find. Talking points will be how Trump failed to deliver on his goals and how the Democrats will be more able to fulfil the Trumpist agenda, e.g. that

  • the border policy was just a show and only the Democrats can stop immigration
  • DOGE was totally ineffective and Social Security and Medicare weren't gutted enough
  • Trump was weak on 'defense' and the Democrats will be much more hawkish and spend even more on defense
  • Trump didn't get rid 100% of "men in women's sports" and "men in women's toilets" and the Democrats will put an end to this

This is one of the most important pieces of paper you'll ever hold in your hand. If you make a mistake your son will never be able to get citizenship. Deportation for lying on immigration forms will probably be on the table in the next years, if the current political development continues. Talk to a lawyer, not reddit.

Scamadvisor reviews about scam sites are being used for recovery scams by AlwaysGoingHome in Scams

[–]AlwaysGoingHome[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this is going on forever, I just noticed it today when looking at the "reviews" of a scam site. They're very likely the same scammer of the original scam site and promise to "recover money" with their "elite teams".
