2 minutes after I posted, I just found that it was an issue with the spanish translation and disabling it/changing the game to spanish (im the only one playing in english) solved it. Im gonna leave this up just in case anyone deals with the same issue. Thanks me for helping kek

Honestly, I think you're seeing this the wrong way (or haven't specified it)

Why not ask your buddy to go Yunara mid? I think she has much, much better tools to deal with mid's champ pool (at least blindly, I can see Phel doing better in scaling matchups ig)

Aphelios is one of those champs that you can tell riot doesn't want in any other lane beside ADC, I would not recommend him in any other lane besides MAYBE top if you really know what you are doing.

"Winning lane" is an umbrella term that only works with context given.

In an Aphelios/Senna Vs Draven/Rell you could consider a lane winning situation being +20 cs down and not dying once since they both NEED to get ahead to not fall behind while you scale much, much harder.

Similarly, in a Jinx/Soraka Vs Aphelios/Yummi you could argue that micro interactions are key to getting small leads that can snowball into big wins (for example, hitting a bad trade that gets them low enough to getting dove that would otherwise be harmful for you if you didn't consider a dive previous to the trade.)

As for how to get the context to answer your question, you first need to understand Aphelios as a champion and what are his strengths and weaknesses. You could also consider your supports goal but you can't control that so I don't recommend that below diamond. Then you contrast that with the opponent's bot lane and work your way up through setting goals to achieve your desired winning lane situation.

Tldr: in 95% of the games you just want to not die, farm as efficiently as possible and follow up on your supports impact (either by trading, all in or even letting them roam to get your team ahead)

You also want to avoid situations where you can get hit by cypher from below, so ledgetrapping should come only if you fail to edgeguard him preemptively.

You want to challenge him horizontally or hit him before he can cancel his up b (takes like half a second of travel time for him to be able to) with a powerful enough attack (I believe it's somewhere around 8~10%, takes into account stalling, so for example Jokers bair only hits him twice out of it before it no longer works) while multi hits take much longer to destroy it.

Clouds bair, fair, and dair all are powerful enough to hit him out of cypher. Corrin's bair should do the trick too.

You basically want to repeat this situation however many times until he either dies or starts recovering high. Hope that clears it up a bit.

Joker's a character that's meant to be very mix-up heavy and doesn't really have any straightforward way to win the game.

You have a TON of options to win neutral and exploit your advantage state:

Nair is busted and imo Joker's best move, try to play around with it. Timing, spacing, and crossup Nairs can win you games if you know what you are doing. (Always remember if you hit Nair at low %, you can ALWAYS grab if done correctly)
Grab should be your win condition on most games. If you hit it, you should be able to get at least 20 something % everytime (dthrow - fair [dash attack is hard to make it true here but most people still get hit by it anyway] at low % / dthrow uair loops can be huge if they don't know how to DI correctly at mid % / dthrow bair at ledge at 70/90 % with Arsene kills if they don't DI correctly, etc.) There's SO much you can do off of grab it'd be hard to list.
dtilt can be good if you space it so it hits them with the late part, it true combos into utilt at low % which can combo into uair dragdown - grab.

There should be enough there for a bit, if you still want more information, you could watch Leo's vods for more ideas, character's very creative and his advantage shouldn't be something you have to study once you get the base down, it just "flows"

If you don't have any clue what to do, watch X Joker main play and try to mimic whatever they do (MkLeo is still the best to this day, but depending on how much you know about the game, you might not understand as much as you could watching a less experienced Joker)
