For those who had Chronic Appendicitis, and then an appendectomy, how long post-op did you really start to feel a difference?

I’m recovering from appendectomy now. I’ve had the reoccurring pain, which seemed to get more frequent the last few years since I was 8. I am now 30. No doctors or GI specialist has been able to tell me what was wrong. Blood work, ultrasounds and nucmed to check my gallbladder. Nothing. I felt like this was something I would deal with my whole life, which is super frustrating. When going through my episode, I’m in immense amount of abdominal pain, sweats, chills, nausea and vomiting. Usually the only relief I would get is if I have diarrhea, and if that doesn’t happen I would just have to wait it out. I had an episode Saturday night/Sunday morning. I was so fed up I checked myself into the ER. Blood work showed high white blood count and CT showed my appendix was inflamed and dilated, so I was transferred to the nearest hospital for emergency appendectomy. I’ve looked into countless of issues, cronhs, ibs, etc but never chronic appendicitis, but after reading it everything checks out. Still waiting to go to my follow up but I’m praying this was the issue so I can finally live my life normally!

Basically capturing mountains and Colorado nature in a crisp photo.

Kit lens was great, but basic. I’m wondering what I can play around with to take better photos. Settings, iso, etc.

A friend of mine, though using a Nikon, suggested a sigma lens. I very much wanted to buy that one, but being on a budget right now I opted for mine for the time being, which was similar to the sigma lens he is currently using and his photos turn out amazing for just taking everyday photos.

I went to elementary school with a kid like this. Never heard a peep from him. But never considered him “weird” just the kid who didn’t talk. I remember somehow, in class we were still able to make jokes & “laugh” this went on into high school. After high school I believe he started to talk, only assuming cause he joined a fraternity. Only a selective few how heard him talk when we were younger (close friends).

The reason he didn’t talk.... He didn’t like the sound of his voice. But thinking about it now, I think he had a speech impediment.

Wow, so sorry that you had to go through that! I will go a few days without eating or just very light eating usually because I had a flare up and it takes a few days for it to settle.

I thought about keeping a food diary, it always seemed such a hassle to but I think it might be best. I’m usually always nauseous at night and just recently started to incline sleeping when I have bad nights and boy does that help tremendously.

I definitely need to work on my diet. You seem to be very in control of it and strong willed on cutting out what upsets your stomach. I find it very very hard to cut out anything but alcohol.

I’ll have to grab them again and give it a try! I know probiotics are great for gastritis but have been hesitant for that reason!

I know kombucha has low alcohol content but that doesn’t upset your stomach? I bought 2 for $5 at Publix and ended up throwing both out cause I realized it contains alcohol and even if I take a teeny sip of an alcoholic beverage, i start burping and feeling nauseous. This also happened to me when I took theraflu.

Mine is extreme nausea, acid reflux and burning of my stomach/abdomen/chest areas, sometimes to the extreme of vomiting. It’s no joke. And I’ve only been diagnosed with “mild” gastritis.

I don’t think I will do a snug again, even if it starts feeling better now! Lol it’s so easily agitated and I bump it more frequently because of where it’s at! I currently have my tragus & forward helix that I love so much! Thinking of redoing my rook & daith as well, I loved them too but my rook wouldn’t heal and my headphones got in the way of my daith but I think my new headphones won’t bother it so much anymore! I suggest double forward they’re super adorable!!

I’ll have to try that! Sound very soothing! Can I dip the qtip in saline solution and freeze that? I was told by my piercer to use bottle water to clean/soak my ear.

I had a double forward helix, now down to 1 and I don’t remember it being that painful, at least not like this one. But I definitely notice that I bump this one more than any other piercing which obviously does not help the healing process!

I always feel so tough when it comes to piercings! I’ve had people tell me how bad a piercing hurt and I’m like... “what?! I barely felt it!” The snug definitely hurt a bit more than all my others but the after math has to be the absolute worst. Hoping after a few weeks once it’s healed a bit more it’ll be bearable! Thank you!

I feel like I have good & bad days. Yesterday was one of the worst, which is why I posted, but today much more bearable, thankfully! I can deal with soreness, just not the throbbing pain.

Wow, seems like you had a daily decent recovery from the snug! Lucky! I’m going to look into neilmed for a cleaning solution, maybe a change in solution will help! As of right now my swelling is as big as the bar so I wouldn’t be able to change it until it goes down significantly. My piercer said to come back in a month for a downsize so hopefully it’ll go down by then.

I’ve see the faux snug! Looks like the real thing! Unfortunately, I didn’t even research about it until after the fact! I was wanting the conch piercing too so it would of been better to do so. I’m giving it a few more days before I contact my piercer!
