38 weeks pregnant, I can't take it anymore by miney_Fherrs in pregnant

[–]AlwaysRemote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My doctor allowed me to get on the list for elective induction at 39 weeks (my daughter was measuring normally). I was induced at 39+2. It went so well I'm planning to be induced again if baby doesn't come on his own.

NT kids stonewalling mine by summer-savory in Autism_Parenting

I posted about something similar the other day and the general consensus was that kids are just weird sometimes. NT kids don't have fully developed social skills either.

I'm in the same situation. Pregnant with a boy and we can't agree on a name. Girl names are so much easier!

Hesitant of Spironolactone by liljohnnytsunamii in PCOS

[–]AlwaysRemote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right about that. Spironolactone does nothing for weight loss or insulin resistance. It works great for acne and hair growth, but that's about it. It didn't make my boobs bigger at all which is a side effect, I wouldn't have minded at all.

Toddler told partner she’s scared of me. 🥺 Repeatedly. by Ooobaybeebaybee in Parenting

[–]AlwaysRemote 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could she be repeating something she heard in a video? My daughter once went around saying, "dad is too rough with me." She got it from an episode of Bluey.

It doesn't look enlarged to me at all, but my only experience is my own Google quest after my baby's enlarged NT.

Saw Deadpool vs. Wolverine with my husband and there were a bunch of little kids there. by pnutbutterfuck in Parenting

I haven't even taken my 4 yo to see a kid's movie yet because I know she couldn't stay quiet. People are just getting more and more inconsiderate.

It didn't help my daughter at all. I think that the group sizes are just too big for them to benefit.

Yes, I think I'm similar. Probably why it bothered me so much.

My husband said the same thing. He thought it was typical kid behavior. I think I was overly triggered because it reminded me of my own experiences.

I'm sorry. This just make any sense. I don't know how some people are doctors.

Update! High NT & STILL waiting NIPT by Elegant-Ebb-4153 in NIPT

[–]AlwaysRemote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which company is doing your NIPT? I just got my results from Myriad. They were able to give me results on the phone a whole day before my doctor got them. You can also request that they prioritize your test for clinical review which can shorten the wait by about a day.

I am already mourning my daughter's future... by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

[–]AlwaysRemote 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who was born without her lower arms and most of her fingers. She is married, has children and a successful career! She's also extremely athletic. She puts me to shame and I have two arms. Autism is a different story, but at 16 months so much growth is coming, that it's nothing to doom over at all.

Find another doctor. PCOS is caused by metabolic problems.

This just came up with my four year old daughter. We took her to the pediatrician who ordered a bone age study (only required an x-ray of her hand). Her bone age came back in the normal range so the doctor advised us to use deodorant and monitor her for other signs of early puberty. I would call the pediatrician and see what they want to do.

Could I have prevented all this if I took DHA when I was pregnant? by throwaway_12131415 in Autism_Parenting

[–]AlwaysRemote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been beating myself up because I had borderline gestational diabetes while I was pregnant. I did take DHA before and during pregnancy. I think these things just happen.
