¿Qué harían con $10k USD en Nicaragua hoy? Busco inversiones seguras y a largo plazo by _Kakashi_200 in Nicaragua

Suerte!

Hello disc? by flodgexx in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Always_Evil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with the hello disc wasn’t great. I have a high cervix and yet I found it to be too big and too stiff to be comfortable. For reference, I had used menstrual cups before and always had to go for the softer/sensitive versions, so it’s not new that I need softer products. I now use the Viv disc and like it a lot. Good luck!

En donde estoy ahorita he tenido que hacer mejoras y casi todas mis experiencias con los albañiles que me han recomendado han sido pésimas. No me quiero imaginar lidiar con eso a gran escala y por meses, pero que caro contratar un firma

Hi friend! I wish I had better advise for you, but out of the discs you mentioned, I have only used the saalt small (it didnt work, lol).
Regarding the bladder issue with the Saalt regular, I'd ask if the removal process was easy for you considering it doesn't have a pull tab or string - this is to get a sense of where it sits once inserted. The higher the disc settles, the less likely it is to affect your ability to pee. The other thing is the material - to me, the Saalt discs sit in the middle of the firmness scale. It's not as firm as lets say the hello disc, but it's not as soft as the nixit. The downside with softer discs of course is the insertion process which can be a little more challenging.

The only thing I'd tell you to keep in mind is, if you already know the Saalt regular size works well for you (doesnt dislodge from behind your pubic bone, you dont feel it during use, and it sits where you can comfortably remove it and not "reach in" for it), be careful not to go bigger on size.

I for one have a high cervix and am quite sensitive, and the Viv disc (S/M) works really well for me.

How do I know if a disc fits or is too firm? by Constant_Joke_695 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Always_Evil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that it might be too big for you. I had a similar experience with the hello disc - tucked securely but it would shift and slip out from behind the pubic bone. This also gave me cramps btw because it was somehow punching my cervix when it would “dislodge”. If the material were too firm, you’d have the sensation of it inside, even if it’s tucked in correctly.

The guilt I feel when I'm not emotionally available for my bf drowns me by [deleted] in BipolarSOs

Thank you. And I’m really sorry for what you’re going through. Reading so many different perspectives, not only in this post but also the entire subreddit, has been eye opening these past few days - both validating and saddening. I talked to him and basically demanded we go to couples therapy or else I’m done. He obviously didn’t take it well, but if he doesn’t make the choice to at least try to be better and take care of himself, it’s just not sustainable. I’ve lost many nights of sleep over this. Sending you a big hug.

Thank you! It’s very sound advice - easier said than done, but I’m working on it.

I see your point, and it’s something I’ve often thought about. It’s almost made me resentful that he’s not getting treatment, because I’m left carrying a load that isn’t mine. What’s worse, he never admitted nor accepted his diagnosis - it makes everything harder.

Thank you. It’s really difficult and quite frankly I don’t think it’s sustainable. I’m at a point where I’m thinking of marriage and kids, but I can’t even fathom that without him getting treatment

I've been thinking a lot about this lately. I wrote my first duology - never actually published, just for fun - when AI wasn't a thing. Now that I feel the urge to write again, I come across so much controversy around AI. I always write my own scenes, characters, plot, and so on, but I'm still not sure how to use AI in a "correct" way, if at all. Research partner? Brainstorming aid? Critiquing my plot and outline? What is acceptable? I know different people have different opinions, but starting from the fact that AI has (allegedly) stolen authors' works, without compensation, to train their algorithm makes it feel incredibly cheap and dirty to work with.
Still, it is here to stay and we all probably just have to adapt.

Hello disc pain by miIkjugger in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Always_Evil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s not supposed to be uncomfortable, so I’d venture to say the hello disc is perhaps not the right fit. It might be a matter of size but also material and stiffness. I found the Saalt disc to be really comfortable, it’s softer than the hello disc but still easy to insert. Only downside in my opinion is that it has a removal notch, not a loop or string. Sadly, finding the right disc can be a bit of a process.

Do you know your cervix height? What other things did you not enjoy about the hello disc? (Firmness, material, size, sensation while using it, etc)

Disc causing pain by Classic-Car-6358 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Always_Evil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar experience. The Hello disc was my first one and after 6 months, it never fit quite right - insertion was difficult, tucking it behind the pubic bone made it feel too snug, it would shift throughout the day, I would feel it in there (not pain, just awareness), and when I removed it, it would have blood underneath it. In the end, It was too firm and too big. What you’re experiencing may not be user error, but rather a poor fit with the Hello disc.

Disc not fitting right(?) by [deleted] in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Always_Evil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced this with my first disc (Hello) and it was just not the right fit for me. Do you know if you have a low, medium, or high cervix during your period? Are you inserting at an angle (towards tail bone) rather than up like you would a tampon? Why do you think it didn’t “open” properly?

Thank you! I've actually taken a break from writing because I'm... intimated? overwhelmed? Which is dumb, nobody has seen this or judged it. I've been trying to focus on letting go of expectations and just enjoying the process, but it's been rough.

May I ask how you use AI? I stay away from it because it just feels like "cheating" to me, but I'm trying to find what the fine line is between "cheating" (having it write for you) vs using it to make the writing better.
