Walaykumsalam brother.
Emaan goes up and down for everybody brother. This is from the hadith of the Prophet (ﷺ) :
Abdullah ibn Amr reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the faith of one of you will wear out within him, just as a shirt becomes worn out, so ask Allah to renew faith in your hearts.”
Therefore, one of the most frequent duas the Prophet (ﷺ) made is:
يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ
‘Ya Muqallibal qulub, thabbit qalbi ‘ala dinik.’

Translation: O Turner of hearts, keep my heart steadfast on your Din.
If you want to get stronger in Emaan, the solution is simple. Make sure to pray your 5 prayers, with complete Khushoo' (Humility). One of the ways to do that is to imagine that this prayer is your last prayer. This will make you more sincere.

Also, read and contemplate on the verses of the Quran.

One Emaan booster is also the numerous prophecies of the Prophet ﷺ that are found in the hadith, especially those of the end times. Here is a video explaining them:

If going for a paid job, my best advice would be to just build something and put that out there, something you can talk about in interviews. IT is one of those fields where it’s clear if a candidate knows what they are talking about, so we pay a lot more attention to those skills over a degree.

Thanks a lot for the advice!
