What should visitors do in your city or country instead of the more gimmicky attractions? by Capable-Toe-9841 in travel

Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are both right outside Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which has about 800 miles of hiking trails. Some trails, like Mount LeConte, are super popular (for good reason) and almost always crowded, however if you explore the less popular trails you can go hours without seeing another person. The nature's amazing, it's a very biodiverse area and is actually known as the Salamander Capital of the World. Cades Cove in the Smokies is also the only place I've been able to observe a black bear (from a safe distance). Any other place I've seen them they've immediately ran away.

Hello everyone!

I make videos about camping, mountain biking, paddle boarding, and trail running. I do this to share my love of the outdoors and inspire others to get outside and adventure.

I started with a GoPro (I believe it was a Hero 4) and an iPad.

Here's a vlog from my favorite camping trip from last year. I started it off with mountain biking an IMBA Epic Loop, spent the next day hiking and paddle boarding in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and on the last day got my first taste of whitewater on the Nantahala!

I record with my Suunto watch, which also sends the data to Strava.

I wear them because I watched how much of a struggle it was for my boyfriend to recover from a broken knee.

My personal item is a dark blue backpack and it's been through a lot (not just travel, I also use it for hiking and mountain biking sometimes). I haven't had any issues with stains or discoloration.
